Was on the phone and only caught portions of this. First caller said pit bull was harassing people walking with children and dogs. Second hysterical caller (could remember the name of her subdivision) called to report that pit bull had mauled her dog. Sorry, didn't catch street name at this time. Animal control office was headed that way....

Glad that there was no major damage. It is always a toss-up on if the address should be posted. In this case your grandmother may have not known of the situation at her property. The fire department personnel are always ready to serve us at a minute's notice. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated force.

I'm sure the wind got this one out of hand. today is a class 3 day with 13mph winds and gusts to 21mph

LB, the only place that I have ever seen snakes are in the "delta area." If you make enough noise, any snake will move on. There are great places to "bush-whack" all around the lake and behind your house. PF, there were two vehicles on the west side (towards that coldesac) when I heard the call for the SO. They were light colored SUV types. I haven't seen them leave yet, so they must have been from the community.

Carnes lake is in the Senator's Ridge community. The dam is on the Bartow (north) line.

I'm sure the deputy just told them not to park on the dam. Seems a sign would be better than wasting the SO's time with such a dumb call.

I think the unit just went 10-8 so doesn't look like anyone is going to jail today.
