During this time of day there are a lot of long-winded transmissions on the BoE frequencies. I have to hit the scan button on my scanner to scan past them - if I am busy on something else I end up having to listen to bus driver traffic instead of other calls. But, there is often interesting traffic from the BoE. EMS units will take good care of the injured girl.

A/C heading your way - better make tracks! I only posted this because of the absurdity of the call - if two cats are in your flower bed, why not just go soak them down with a hose? Leave the officer to do other more important calls.

I haven't picked up anything further. I did get the tail end of a "patient is unconscious" transmission but I don't know if that was from the clark or rescue unit on this scene this. If the school has your contact info they will contact you. Don't panic at this point.

How did poor radio service come into this thread? If my math is right, we are at the 3 year anniversary of the million dollar LTR upgrade. The next time you see a deputy on patrol, stop him and ask for his opinion of the current radio system, off the record. I think the biggest problem is that someone bought a million dollar radio system that should have been fixed with a 20 million dollar system. It is hard for the boss to swallow his pride and say that mistakes were made in going with this LTR system. When I researched this a few years ago, I think Paulding is the only DPS
