  1. GFC requested. GFC 3 responding. Dabbs Bridge and Bartow - otherwise Cobb would respond if it was at the Cobb/Bartow area. I don't recognize any of the names they are mentioning as x-streets. Maybe near the new subdivisions near the line. SO units advises of an additional fire near Hollingshed Rd. Three seperate fires - heading into woods. tanker 6 on scene at DBR/Hollingshed need battalion - two structures in danger
  2. Tanker 6 responding - DBR near county line. two seperate 10x10 fires near residence no GFC?
  3. I believe the missing persons report said the boyfriend had not seen her since Saturday.
  4. I never caught anything further from SO 177 on this one. I trust that the children are fine.
  5. In previous post I eluded to the fact that the north end patrol officers were going to get an earful from the Sheriff. If this car had been abandoned, as others posters stated, several days, the patrol officers should have already ran the car. The deputy was not on patrol in the area - he was sent there on a 10-65 - report of a mechanical breakdown. Does this make any difference - not really. I've reviewed the scanner archives and cannot find where the unit was dispatched to the location, but I know what I heard. I do recall the unit being dispatch, to me it seemed like several hours
  6. That report about the possible hit and run was from about 6:00pm during the investigation - they may have a further determination after that. One would think that if you were found dead in a ditch by your own hand, the cause/method would be obvious to the officers - with a gun or whatever nearby.... LB's thought of OD on pills seems plausible to me.
  7. PSA: call the non-emergency number for this type of call: 770-445-2117. You hit 1 about 5 times to get to the dispatch center and request that an abandoned vehicle be checked out.
  8. I'm listening to the archive for further details on this. I may have missed some traffic when I went to get another cold beer. cold beer, good scanner traffic - a great beginning to another weekend in paulding county....
  9. Best I can make out on this one - FedEx driver was at the location yesterday and saw that the kids were home alone. Driver must have, in passing, made a comment about the situation to another employee this morning, who must have a little more concern for others, decided to call the SO. I thought that as part of homeland security measures all drivers, such as this FedEx driver, were requested to call in suspicious activities. Certainly, this would make a good case for calling in for a check yesterday.
  10. caller's contact info furnished to SO unit this stuff is really sad to hear - I'd like to think that a parent had to make a hard choice - working for food on the table or staying home - maybe grandma, who normally looks after the kids, is sick. Or, maybe there are just poor choices involved. I know the SO unit will get help for the kids if they need it.
  11. one male/one female under age 6 left alone caller is FedEx employee - concerned for children as place is trashed - one of their drivers was at the address yesterday. SO 177 enroute. address withheld to protect the children, but it is a trailer....
  12. when the deputies were at the scene, they could not determine if it was suicide or the lady had been hit and left for dead. NCO - I thought you weren't supposed to reveal units schedules.
  13. Is the cause really a LP tank sitting sun? That seems quite dangerous if one can go like that in 100 degree heat. I'm going to email Hank Hill - he is the only expert of propane and propane accessories that I know.
  14. went back and listened to this on the archives - 20 yof on Lake Avalon Ct (I'll withhold street number at this point) advises that she has her blue jeans zipper stuck on her skin and in severe pain - Rescue 5 and Clark med 3 responded....
  15. gateach, glad to hear that rumors that you have been burned up are wrong... the interior crew did sound like it was hot going and an intense fire.
  16. I've been on a call - didn't catch much more on this. Command was requesting status of power company.
  17. E9 to 3402 - needs us 10-18? yes - respond emergency, speed limit - go to FG 1 once you arrive.
  18. engine 9 requested with two on board to fire. that's 4 engines, ladder and commanders on scene engine 9 to command - 3402 assuming command on fireground 1 clark med 2 on scene
  19. interior team to command - need an attic ladder? I believe that if anyone was home, the interior team would have found them by now command advises that ammo is in residence ladders in place for FF's exit
  20. report from interior team - sounds like three FFs are inside - requesting status of attic.\ FFs breathing sounds labored 3410 advises attic is clear interior team is coming out second crew to enter - I believe the heat must be bad and team is needing backup
