My (step)son lives with us half the time and his mom half the time. We do it Sat-Wed/Wed-Sat. It states in the papers that Hubby is the primary caretaker, meaning when he starts school, he will be living with us. His mom lives in Resaca (between Calhoun & Dalton) and we meet in Cartersville. Also, in our papers, it states that if either of us moves 10+ miles further from Cartersville, the meeting place will stay the same.

Mine was WAAAY under 5,000. My dad bought my $150.00 dress, MIL rented hubby's suit, people at Rodney's chipped in for my catering (I was preggo and hubby & I both worked there), hubby bought cake for $300ish. Hubby's family and my mom decorated at my inlaw's house. My aunt did my hair & my sister did my make up...FIL's friend is a photographer...idk if they paid him. As for music, we burned a cd and played the songs when we wanted them...and my grandfather married us. My in-laws live on land in Burnt Hickory w/ 3 waterfalls. The falls were dried up, but it was still beautiful.

I live on Winndale and can't wait for the bridge to be back!! But, I don't want them to close it off at 61 . . .It's too convenient to get to Kroger. . . and if they DO close it off, they need to put a light at Old Harris Rd.

Cowboy stew is DELICIOUS- It has beans and ground beef like chili and corn & tomatoes like brunswick stew. . I had some last night. It was awesome!!

Canned drinks aren't free to small business owners, why should they be free to us? Their drinks are usually 1.99 with free refills, so if you get two cans it's pretty much the same. . . and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't care if you brought your own.

My 3 y/o [step]son used to be crazy with my in-laws... When I was there, I would make him sit in time out and go talk to him...the occasional butt whoopin did happen if he did something bad enough to deserve it. My in-laws were shocked and looked at me like I had 3 heads because I was disciplining him for something they didnt think deserved it. They believe that as grandparents they have the right to spoil them...but I say spoil them, yes. . . let them do whatever they want, no. I went there once...and only once. Didn't like the separate rooms, or the doorways between them...my son and nephew kept slipping and falling during open play. I love the other places because open play lasts longer and is much cheaper..much more convenient when your children are wild and you need a cheap place to take them to to burn off some energy. The separate rooms also make it harder to watch your children..especially when you're 8 months pregnant and don't have the energy to bounce from room to room to keep an eye on the little beasts.
