The bills went to the summer rates on June first. Also remember that we had something like 15 or more days in a row over 90 degrees. That is unusal for the month of June. Unplug anything you are not using, these thing still pull current. set the thermostat at 78 no lower. Only run ceiling fans in the room you are in if you leave turn them off. Air Condition and Hot Water, pools and Plazma TV are some of the major things that run the bills up.

Everyone pays the same rate! For every degree under 78 you can expect to p (I believe about 5 percent) more per kwh used.

The new meters will be more accurate and you are also on the summer rate as of June 1ST. These new meters will be able to tell them when your power is out without you having to call in. That will be wonderful if you are out of town or at work. Also it will keep people from stealing power.
