We live right by the water tower and all I know is it shook the whole house and lit up. That was WAY to close for me I have to say. You must be really close to us.

By P.B Ritch Elementary......scared the @@@@ out of both of us. She had a tooth pulled and took pain meds and was asleep but came running out of the bedroom when it hit.

About 15 minutes ago lightening hit right by our house off off Ridge Road. There was like no warning......scared me and my daughter both. Then the thunder and more lightening.....it is raining a little bit but that came from right out of no where. Any one else see or hear it? Definately knocked out our Direct TV......

Well it has to be pretty bad when so many cities are filing bankruptcy and now in Scranton Pen....ALL the city officials are required to make minimum wage to keep their jobs. Saw it on tv yesterday.....single policeman with a 15 year old son had his wages docked to minimum wage. The officials in the city were ordered to do it. MORE unemployment and LESS jobs.....that says something. Unemployment is bound to run out and then what....... :unsure:

What is your fondest memory? Mine would be getting the chance to go back to Washington state (where I am from) and getting the chance to spend time with my mom before she passed away. That was about 3 years ago (when my dad passed). Laughing and loving, remembering the GOOD times when life was so simple.

I went yesterday to apply for a new job and with the Lords help I will get the interview. It looks promising. I am just waiting to hear from the company. I have a very good friend that works there and she also gave me a written personal reference that the supervisor took. This would be a TERRIFIC position with benefits and she and I could car pool. After the tornado last night we want to thank God for sparing our little business.. It is located right above the new airport off of 278 on Wolf Pen Path. There is devastation ALL AROUND US on both sides but the tornado jumped right over our shop and NOTHING was even moved or touched. We do not have power today but drove around and looked at the subdivision right down 278 from us and down McPhearson Church Road and other areas. We thank the Lord that He spared our little building and our sincere prayers and thoughts go out to each and every family that we saw this morning cleaning up. This

YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!! I had my appeals hearing on Monday the 20th and got my letter Thursday the 23rd!!!!! I WON I WON!!!! THANK YOU GOD!!!!! Thank you everyone for your prayers and wonderful pm's and etc. I will be getting all my back unemployment now also. Looking for another job and I know that the Lord will provide me with that also......Thank you again everyone....

We apologize for any inconvenience yesterday afternoon as I finally had my unemployment appeal hearing and it was in Marietta. It took most of the afternoon but I am confident that the truth came out and God was in control. My husband had to go with me so he had to close the shop early. Thank you so much to everyone for your prayers and good thoughts for me. Now I am just waiting for the final decision to be mailed. Up to this point I have seven weeks bacfk unemployment I have claimed and if I win I will receive all my back pay. Thank you again everyone for your patience and support.
