Apparently a couple of individuals tried to steal a T.V. in a shopping cart...
pushed it right out the front doors! (rather quickly I might add!
)Made it to Hwy. 278 and into Kroger's parking lot before Hiram and Paulding's finest caught up with them!
Wonder if Wal-mart will discount that T.V. (I need a new one!
) -
I think what she does in her Daughter's memory..... well, there are no words to
express here passion and Love!
I have enjoyed some conversations with her.

Born in Miami 38 yrs ago...... as a baby I crawled in front of camera's and as a toddler and teenager I joked with the likes of Jerry Lewis, Jackie Gleason and John Wayne.
I have worked on the streets of Miami Vice,Soared with the Eagles and the Miami Sound Machine.
I clipped my wings almost 8 years ago after my son was born.....
decided flying around the country was no longer an option, wanted to watch my son grow, life is way tooooo short.
With clipped wings I still try to make a difference in the place I now call home...

Lady at Dallas P.D. informed me that a retired judge Betty Johns (hope the spelling is correct) passed away and that is why the Flag is flying @ 1/2 mast.

Courthouse Security gave me the number to Dallas P.D. they are in charge of that flag...... calling them now.

On phone w/ clerk of courts no clue...... gave me courthouse security's phone number. 1:50pm

That would be a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS GIFT TO MANY!
P.S. I'm sure he has the stat's on how many accidents were at that intersection
before the red light was installed. However if it expedites things I will be more than happy to give him a copy.

The accidents at that intersection were alarming! The light was supposed to have been installed a few years ago and hat it not been for some local people myself included the light may have never been installed. After the light was fianally installed it has helped with the frequency of accidents at that location. But you are correct there needs to be a turn arrow into Wal-Mart and then that turn arrow needs to turn RED!
Chief Hicks has asked for that to happen.... So Have I.... and others!!!!!!
That decision belongs to the State DOT..... Maybe you folk's can express your concerns OUT LOUD and they may listen.
It has been my experience that if a few people band together and bring things like this to the attention of our Local Official's even though they personally do nothave the jurisdiction to make the change they know the people that can.....After all they live and work here in our community and they have a responsability to US citizens to provide us a safe place to live.
I would like to see people come together and voice their concerns in a way that would make a difference instead of complaining about it to their friends or on sites like this.....takes just as much energy and time as it would to show up at a commissioner's meeting or calling the proper office.

places.

You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the
National Anthem.
You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.
You've never burned an American flag.
You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who
is listening.
You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.
You'd give your last dollar to a friend.
If Doing thes above constitutes being a "Red Neck"
(eventhough my Neck is the same color as my a _ _!)
Then I am Guilty!

In my opinion a lot people believe that it will not happen to them.
(poor judgement)
They are in a hurry (selfish) pre-occupied and then BAM!
This strikes a internal cord because it is not just when it rains.
You see, there are only 168 hours in the week. We all have them and for some reason people believe that they have to hurry(speed, multi-task) when the get behind the wheel and in reality that thing (whatever it maybe) only saved them a few minutes! (unless they have,cause an accident)

It is obvious that the child has issues, however is she really to blame?
Here is why I say that.....
over the summer she was diagnosed with a mental condition.
The father asked school officials not to put her in normal classroom setting.
A parapro has been escorting her every day to and from the restroom when
she needed to go.
So..... is she really to blame? (100%)
What about the school officials?
What about the parents?
I am really curios to see the outcome of this!
