  1. Traded in an 06 Ultra Classic for an 09 Ultra 4 weeks ago and have always rode a dresser. Have tried the crotch rocket and just can't do it.Ride year round and during the nice weather months I have a 4inch windshield.During the colder months I put the full windshield back on. Nothing like having the wind in your face when you ride. To those who don't ride Yes the bugs can hurt!

  2. that I am sorely lacking in tools. I have some of the basics--hammer, screwdrivers (when I can find them since the kids never put them back :glare: ), some allen? wrenches, a pair of pliers (one regular and one needle nose), but I think that's about it. Oh, and I have a mallet. :) In any event, I thought it might be useful for folks to suggest some other "must have" tools. For example...What tools do you think you should ALWAYS be kept in your car? (I keep a set of jumper cables and usually a can of fixaflat, but otherwise nadda) What tools should EVERY household have?

    Share your knowledge... B)

Buy a complete home set of tools.I have one from Black And Decker that has just about everything in it.Now a days there are all kinds of different screw heads not to mention metric and SAE sizes of everything.A good set will cost in the area of 100.00 dollars but is well worth it as it comes in a canvas bag and can be carried anywhere.

As far as the car-get a milk crate and put anything in it you think you may need.Candles, a flashlight, water, duct tape, electrical tape, fuses and leave it in your trunk. The home set of tools can be taken with you on long trips just in case.

  3. If any one found a motorcycle tag and chrome cover please let me know!! it broke off today somewhere near Herschel Jones school or right on Polk Ave i dont mind having to pay the 8 bucks for a new tag but you have to file a police report and have that with you to get a new tag even tho it wasnt stolen . it just broke off and i could not find it a few hours later

I ride that area going to and from work and will keep an eye out for it.

  4. Anyone know of anywhere around Paudiing where you can drop off toys for donation? I would perfer something like an organization where they would go to needy or abused children rather than a consignment shop. Since Christmas is right around the corner, we need to make room for Santa! Any help would be appreciated.

Check with the police and fire stations near you.

  5. If you go be prepared to fight a crowd. Its a LARGE event and people are everywhere! :D

My Dad drove in it last year.

???????? I have been involved with this for 3 years and as far as it being crowded this has never been a problem. The parking lot is huge and the trucks are staged in the rear parking lot.The only problem is when they stop traffic going North on 41 to let all the trucks out.If you get in the lot before 10 am you will have no problems.

  6. That sounds like alot of fun! Too bad we will be out of town.

this is the 1st I have heard about this one......

This will be our 3rd year doing it and it gets bigger and bigger every year. This year and last I have been on the planning board. The company I work for is great and donates $$$,food, employess, a 30x30 tent with table and chairs, plus lets me have all the time I need to help make the event happen.Sorry you will be out of town, but I'm sure we will be doing it again next year.

  7. Very cool... and very good cause. ;)

Bring the kids. You can find me and my wife Lisa by the grill that says Courier Express. Let me know who you are and I'll feed you for free. Hot dogs, hamburgers.Anyone who lets me know they are from Paulding.com I will feed.

  8. This Saturday at White Water in Marietta from 9am to 2pm.Free admission. Last year we had 160 trucks and they depart for a police escorted convoy between 10am and 11am to return about an hour later.Live music, door prizes and the kids can get up close with all kinds of trucks, emergency equipment, motorcycles, and a whole lot more.Lunch can be purchased for a small donation to the Special Olympics.PM me with any questions. This is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics that is sponsered by the Marietta Police and local trucking companys.

  9. I am leaving at 0530 in the morning and staying until the 6th of September. I just checked the 10 day forcast and its not that bad yet.As always you can never trust the weather forcasts but I am going to take my chances. If it gets bad I will just pack everything up and drive someplace with better weather.
