It will only be around for a week or so. If I don't sell it I will trade it when the new one arrives.

  2. I am moving in less than a week and i am in desperate need of some boxes.. Anybody know a place here that gives them away?

Check the local package stores and supermarkets

  3. Greetings all,

I'm fairly new to Paulding (2+ months now) and I love it here. I just want to know who some of these roads, parks, and lakes are named after.

I live near Lake Ramona. Who is Ramona, who owns the lake, how was it created, etc? Can we fish on the lake?

Who is Charles Hardy, Bill Carruth, Virgie Ballentine, Jimmy Lee Smith, Wendy Bagwell, C.W. Sims, etc?

I would really love to know! I'm sure there are plenty of others I haven't listed.

    Thanks!

Rachel Waters works for me and is the niece of Ramona. Bill and his 3 sons made the lake around the late 50's early 60's. The Waters family still owns the lake and live on it. It was open for public fishing until about 15 years ago when Rachel's Grandmother had a stroke and no longer could run the store located at the lake. It is not open to the public at this time and you must have permission to fish it. Hate to tell you this but I have fished it and it has some trophy sized bass in it. The Waters are great people and it is a pleasure to know them.

  4. This is a look from the other side of the fence. I have paid child support from the day I was no longer living in the house. Even went as far as to leave all the deposits on any accounts (utilitys) that were in my name and needed to be changed over to hers. Left the cable bill in my name because she could not get in her own.(she never paid it and I had to pay 3 months worth) After about 3 years of paying support directly to her each week without ever missing,(If I was going to be out of town I would send it early) I got a letter in the mail saying I was 3 years behind and owed appx. $26,000.00 . Thanks to my 2nd wife I had every check and money order that had ever been sent to her. I even had 5 months that I was not ordered to pay(before the papers were signed for divorce)Long story short, I had to go to court after not being able to get Gwinnett CSE to listen and or look at my proof. The judge did'nt care and ordered me to pay $1500.00 now or go to jail. I kept trying to explain and even said I paid 5 months before any order was even in place( He said that was a gift). he found me in comtept and sent me to jail.My 2nd wife was there and had to pay 1500.00 to get me out. 1 month later it all got fixed and I did'nt owe a thing. It took 6 months to get the 1500.00 back and almost a year to get them to understand I owed nothing for interest and peneltys. To make sure that never happened again I had them start taking it out of my pay check. Now I have to pay extra every week for that. And yes my ex started the whole thing and they did nothing to her as the proof was on my end.

  5. I was gonna say the same thing. Mom & Dad needs to be very proactive here and take the license themselves for a couple of months. So what he has to ride the bus to school for the first month or so. Maybe when he gets his license back he'll slow down.

Have him take a driving course before his court date. (Make him pay for it) Most courts have some sort of program that involves community service for a first time offender. (If this is his first ticket) If he completes what the court orders its like it never happened. All courts are different so you'll have check with the solicitor. I just went thru this in the City of Atlanta with my 18 year old Nephew. He got 80 hours of community service, upon completion his record will be clean and no fine has to be paid. The court informed us he would have lost his drivers Lic. for 1 year.
