Its insane to me that anyone would defend smoking while pregnant I understand addictions, doing something before you were aware of dangers, blah blah blah, BUT to try to deny scientific evidence and ignore the fact that so many babies have died from, or suffer with a lifetime of health problems BECAUSE the mother smoked while developing this unborn child inside your body, well to me thats just ignorant.

When I was about 6 I spent a few days with my grandmother and uncle during the summer. They took me to Allatoona lake every day and every day we passed a car on the side of the road and just shrugged that it had been there so long. Ill never forget when I got home at the end of the week they announced on the news a person was lying dead in it the whole time. All I could think of was what if we had stopped and looked in?

Not those bags, just the random bags in the middle of nowhere and bags that stay there for months at a time. Ive been watching the same one on 278 going toward Poole Elementary for a few weeks now....

Everything I read said it sped up the baby's heartbeat so even when things said in moderation, I didnt like the thought of doing it.

For those of you who use homemade soap, how do your clothes smell after they are washed? I love heavily scented clean laundry and just wondered if they would even have a smell using such a small amount of homemade.

Has an uneasy feeling every time I pass one? I have always been freaked out by garbage bags on the side of the road. I suspect there are probably severed fingers and a foot in those bags....... I have always been creeped out by random bags on the side of the road. Anyone else? Whats your irrational fear??

Oh I cant stand seeing women drinking what you know is coke, or coffee either, but smoking, I cant help but give them a dirty look as they show off their pregnant belly while puffing away.

I know how hard it is to quit and I thought about it every day while I was pregnant, I get it, but to smoke in public like that is like blatantly telling people you don't care that you're harming your baby. As far as not being taught by your parents, these days there aren't many homes without tv/internet where every other commercial or advertisement about the hazards of smoking.

What gets me is how people aren't embarrassed by doing it in public......

What are your thoughts when you see a pregnant woman smoking? Saw a woman at the store yesterday who was Clearly 7 or 8 months pregnant smoking in the parking lot. This makes me so sick and disgusted. It makes me so sad to think of that poor baby who will likely have problems the rest of its life stemming from the mothers poor choice and ignorance. I know some of you will say, ah, my mom smoked while pregnant with me and Im fine, blah blah, but......when you know better you do better. My son is in the autism program, but its elementary. I absolutely LOVE it!! I love his teachers and she teaches first through fifth in the same class. I want him to stay with her through fifth if possible. Him being in this program instead of a regular special ed class, has done wonders for him. He has excelled and opened up so much this year because the teachers meet their kind of needs and learning style. They take breaks often so they can re group and re focus. Small things like colored flags draped over the bright lights so there isnt as much stimuli for them, its amazing. I love it!

I dont understand why people dont like Food Lion. They are clean and for a lot, convienient. I have heard people say they are higher priced than other stores, but I would rather pay a little more than go into Kroger thats the size of Wal mart to get a few things. I have only had to wait in line a couple of times when they were busy, but usually its in and out. I really hate they are closing, I hope they put another grocery store there soon.

You really don't have a choice who you have power with unless you happen to live in an area where two companies happen to overlap in the same area. The power company owns and maintains their poles and lines.
