  1. there are a few sites, a think 10 dollars a month, that will do the comparison for you, tell you which stores have which items for sale which week, with the coupons in the paper. Also, if a price is similar on a product, go to kroger or somewhere where they will double the coupon to get the most of it. I'm trying to get out of debt this year, so coupons it is. Look for items on sale, with coupons and stock up, especially if you have a larger family.

  2. 2007 was by far the worst year I have yet to experience. I just kept looking forward to 2008 .. thinking and hoping it couldn't get much worse. And then the day after Christmas I found out both of my Inlaws may have cancer. They are both going in for biopsies next week. She for breast cancer and he for prostate. Of all the things that happened in 2007 .. I know losing them would make it seem like a joy ride. All we can do is pray and know that there is a reason for it .. somewhere and hopefully someday we'll be able to find out what that is. :( With all the downs in life .. I am starting to realize how much worse it could be.

I hope everything works out for your family. Don't start thinking you're going to lose them so soon. My mom has survived breast cancer twice, and my dad has prostate cancer in 2006 and is doing very well. Hopefully if they do have it, they will have found it soon.

  3. Yes, her mother actually said there was no harm done because after they submitted the letter, she and her daughter discussed how this was just a story to win a contest. <_< No harm <_<

yeah, I misworded it, but it was sent in in the daughters name. Thanks (kas) for correcting me  , and thanks frontporchmom, for knowing what I meant.. :D

  4. They were having a contest (I don't know where) and a little 6 year old girl sends in this letter. She wanted the tickets because her father had been killed in a roadside bomb in Iraq. Sad and heartbreaking, until they find out she (and her mother) made the story up. Daddy's still alive, and little girl doesn't have tickets anymore. I'm glad they found out before the concert. They should have made her hand deliver them to a child who really had something like that happen. What kind of parent does this?

  5. I looked today going from rockmart to 278 and there are wrong way signs at any intersection/turning lane. I agree I think it had to be a medical emergency the way he was hit. Does anyone know if there a fire with the vehicles. Looks like the ground is burned. Still keeping the families involved in thoughts and prayers.

  6. But your putting it out like a guessing game. Its hard to find animals homes as it is. Just stating what kind of dog it is, won't give a dishonest person a reason to get it. You would know its owner by how the dog responds to them. If your friend truly wanted to find its rightful owners and not keep it, she would give out what type of dog it is and leave the markings off. Certain breeds have certain markings that only the owner would know. Or they have papers to prove it.

And she doesn't have to take the dog in to the shelter but fill out a found report. But then she will have to tell what type of dog it is to them.

she's not trying to find it a home, that's again, why I didn't put it. She wants to KEEP it. If someone wanted that dog, yes they could say it's mine. Mine will love on anyone, not just me. As long as you pet him, he's happy. She has already filled out a report at the shelter. she was going to do that today. It didn't have a collar or microchip and she's done what she can to find the owner. Again, I have responded to anyone who has asked me if is there dog, or a friends. I'm doing something nice, that I didn't have to. I hope they get to keep the dog, they will give it a great home, but I'm not going to put the type on here or be made to look bad because I don't.

  7. Me too.

you must have not read the part that says I'm warning you it hurts like hell, huh?? :o  It does hurt, but it works. you can rub some ice on it to numb it before hand if you can, but keep massaging it a few times a day. It will definitely loosen it up. I'm just glad I haven't seen anyone on here say "I have TMJ" that drives me crazy!! Everyone has TMJ, just some have disorders ::vent over::

  8. I used to make them and used feed corn too. Mine would stay warm at least an hour/hour and 1/2. That is if I heated it up for 2 minutes on high.

be sure, lgm, to store the corn in a sealed area if it hasn't been heated. I got meal worms in mine, in my parents basement ( I was still living there at the time) Needless to say, they were pissed. I never had a problem with the ones that had already been heated though. I guess the moisture was already out.

  9. You can reach inside your mouth and to the back side of your mouth, at the back teeth, massage the muscle behind the back top tooth and up. Massage in a circular motion. You can find some massage therapists who do it, I don't, but have had it done. If you think it may want to do it, let me know, I'l find someone for you. Hurts like hell though. I ain't gonna lie.

  10. Dang just tell what kind of dog it is..

There are so many people missing pets right now..

if you tell what kind of dog it is, I am sure the owner could identify their pet with a speacil marking or something on it.

I have had several people ask me or pm me to ask if it was a certain breed of dog, I have responded quickly, or as quickly as I can. I know there are many people looking for their family pets, I also know if I put what kind of dog it was someone not so honest may jump up and say its mine. I don't know if it has any special markings to speak of, but I had a good reason not to put what kind it was on here. Sorry, but I told her I wouldn't. She has fallen in love with this dog, and if someone sends me a message asking if it is the kind of dog they are missing, I will be sure to respond.

  11. Have her go to the shelter and fill out a found dog form because if someone is looking for their dog that is usually where they go. The shelter employees look in the found book and lost book to try and reunite or even when someone calls missing their animal. By doing this she does not have to bring the animal with her. It would also be a good idea if she could take a picture and put it with the report.

    Is it a boxer?

she is going today. said the shelter was closed yesterday. She just doesn't want to take it in, because then she will have to turn around, wait three days, then pay an adoption fee if no one claims it. It's not a boxer. I will tell her to take a pic.

  12. If you have some plastic (even a shower curtain) make sure the windows are covered and seal a towel next to the door/windowsills to keep the air out. If you knew where your landlord lived, I would have been knocking on the door telling him I was staying there. you might want to bring the pups in for the night, even if in the bathroom, much warmer than outside.

  13. It's so weird that two of our members have just been one car away from being that person hit by the wrong way drivers. I am glad you are okay and praying for the families involved. I could see so many police cars just flying up. I knew there had to have been serious injuries. Glad that the other driver is going to be ok.
