I don't miss the cold and snow, but I do miss the mom and pop restaurants, the diners, the deli's, the pizzarias, and most of all the Italian bakeries. They seem to take more pride in their food and service. Nothing can compare to New England in the fall. Now paleeze I have heard yanks buen their coats and pok their caus yall are not going to get off that easy.

Making snow cream is an art form you have to take a small spoon and carefully scrape it up without getting grass in it, sometimes it takes awhile when you only get a quarter inch! Not going there, I am a southerner, but I have lived in the notheast and have many friends and relatives up north. People are people, good and bad everywhere you go.

If a flake falls the grocery stores get cleaned out of milk and bread cause that is all you are allowed to eat in the south if it snows! There will be a hundred threads of folks trying to out do each other about how hard it is snowing at their house. If we get an inch the world ceases to turn here! It is and endless source of amusement to Yankees until they can not get milk for that coffee and tea they guzzle nonstop and realize their are no plows or salt to make the roads drivable.
