  1. Everyone knows it is more fun to make it up
  2. Ok regular and long time members step in and share with all these folks. I am sure they are somewhat confused with the serious sharing of information and the humor going on around here! We all know who is knowledgable, and that official word comes from the publisher. Many may not understand our humor and familiarity with one another. Please help explain some of our unofficial traditions such as helping neighbors, helping our community, praying for one another. Then turning around making fun of each other in another thread. Explain the full moon issues, the Halloween
  3. What busy bodies? no busy bodies on here! But God forbid don't drop no cracked corn! dem soup chickens will be on their knees peckin in no time flat UH maybe we need to split this topic, I am decompressing after the last 2 days and my sense of humor is in over drive! Never mind I bet Deputy Gurley could use a chuckle about now too! So can Tona! I dropped by and you were in bed girl! bless your heart I know you were tired from trying to get the shop dried out.

  6. Don't you know you are supposed to wait for the paper to come out next week because that is the only reliable place to get news in this county, and of course everyone reads the paper. Good thing about newspapers you never have to deal with the readers feedback or opinions directly.. All those folks out there sitting in soaked, moldy dangerous home will have to wait until next week to find out where to get available help. Funny thing is they didn't go to area shelters for help, their friends and neighbors took them in. The trouble is how are the displaced going to be counted
  7. We are rebooting the network this should take less than 5 minutes folks!

  12. Very good to know! thanks for the update!
  13. We heard reports of many buildings leaking in the area, many buildings have not been tested by this much rain ever, even small leaks can become huge with this much water. I am very hopeful that not many of our local businesses experienced much damage, many are already struggling.
  14. Pubby went up there yesterday and confirmed that it was closed due to many offices being water damaged, I know there was more leaking than flood damage.
  15. I-75 is completely clear from all reports as is hwy 61 anyone can take I-75 up to Cartersville go through downtown Cartersville and come down hwy 61 into Dallas.
  16. I did not drive around any of them yesterday to get my video, I parked and walked to the areas to tape, that is why I looked like a drowned rat on the livestream last night.
  17. Our public safety officials can not be everywhere! These barricades have been put up for your safety! The barricades have been placed in areas where roads were flooded extensively. They are checking under the roads for stability at this time, many of them are hollow underneath where they were washed out. You are in danger of breaking through into large crevices and sinkholes under these roads. People that endanger themselves are slowing down our emergency personnel in the county. Some of these washes can be very deep.
  18. There are many roads in the county that will need extensive repair from what I saw yesterday, the most immediate need will to make them safe for emergency vehicles, then to get school buses back on the road to get kids to school. I imagine there will be a lot of heavy equipment on the move today, there will also be many trying to clean their homes and make them safe. I hope everyone will be cooperative with all making the effort today.
  19. Could you tell the folks the best route to get to your hwy 92 location?
