I've heard of him but haven't listened to him or read his books. What does he say about people who make poor financial decisions? Can they be encouraged in some way? What does he say to do if they ask for money?

Someone pays a large amount for tax preparation so they can get an income tax refund check a little quicker. They had a a car that runs but they want a different one so they buy one and have it financed at 24% interest. Then they say they need money for rent, etc. (These are not family members or anyone I know, but are people my husband comes into contact with from his work.) Giving them a loan or money does not solve the deeper problem so I was wondering what resources there might be that could help them learn to make better decisions? What kind of classes or counseling is available? (Man

I wasn't knowledgeable about all the ingredients so I looked it up: Long Island Iced Tea The Long Island iced tea was named for its resemblance to non-alcoholic Iced tea. A Long Island Iced Tea is a highball made with, among other ingredients, vodka, gin, tequila, and rum ...most variants do not include any tea, despite the name of the drink. Some restaurants substitute brandy for the tequila. The drink has a much higher alcohol concentration (about 22 percent) than most highballs due to the several liquors and the relatively small amount of mixer. http://en.wikipedia.o

Did anyone else hear about the Desperate Housewives spoiler that was revealed in court? I was sad to hear what is going to happen.

How was your experience with the new store ?
ButterflyLion replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The ones I got at Aldi in Douglasville looked very good but only had a little flavor and sweetness. I want to try some ground cherries this year. They store a long time and can be dried. -

I haven't been to the one in Hiram yet. I've been to the one in Douglasville a few times and was wondering if they are alike? The other day I bought some strawberries at the Douglasville store. They looked good but I was hoping they would have more flavor than they do. Surepip, do you grow strawberries or any other type of fruit? -
Have you made this? Here's a video that shows how it's made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=0kMis3OCN_U&feature=endscreen

I thought children would be taught that starting at a much younger age---long before college. Are children being taught that material things have a limited value and that they do not replace the things in life that cannot be bought: love, laughter, health, etc.? -
Like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=W_en3Ie7Kfo&NR=1 ETA: This seems to be one that doesn's show the picture like You Tube videos usually do. Is there a way?

Lately I've been drinking green decaffeinated tea that comes in tea bags and has peppermint and some other herbs added to it. After it's brewed I add a teaspoon of honey, some powered turmeric and either fresh or powdered ginger. I'm going to try adding some cinnamon and see how I like that since it's proven to have health benefits, too. What about you, do you drink tea? Here's an article that talks about some of the different teas: Types of Teas and Their Health Benefits From green tea to hibiscus, from white tea to chamomile, teas are chock full of flavonoids and other health

What do you thinking about it? -
I know. If you google Mia's Cafe Wing Max this thread comes up: WELL I'LL BE D@MNED! - Paulding.com paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/285363-well-ill-be-dmned/ 5 hours ago – Somebody broke in to my Durango while it was sitting in front of Mia's Cafe Wing Max! I know. The lisp remark was just a joke in response to your "whispering," which we know was in reference to another thread. I understand the need for the forward slash like at the end of a sentence---like when talking about http://paulding.com/. I see it when responding to posts here, like in the word quote above as I type this. I just hadn't thought about using it like you did. I never thought about anyone whispering on p.com before though---just about any other type of voice except that. The other person mentioned it but I still don't see anyone whispering here.

I thought it might be something to do to bring in some income while her husband was unemployed. He could help, too. It was just an idea. -
Million Dollar Lottery Winner Receiving Food Stamps

Would your daughter be able to care for one or two other children and earn an income from that? What about some groups for someone out of work that provide emotional support, ideas, etc.? They all probably have skills and talents they take for granted that someone else might be able to see. Books from the library could provide some insight into ideas about how others have been successful in changing fields, making things to sell, etc. A little hope can be a great springboard ... -
Tell us. Sounds very colorful. What is it for?

Thank you. I remember many years ago while shopping I helped an older lady find something she was looking for. Instead of saying "thank you" she said "bless you." I've always remembered that ... I did see where someone mentioned time stamps in the first post. I guess the thread took a little different turn after that though.

How did they break in? Was it already dark outside?
-
I was replying to a post in this thread so it seems you are mistaken. Is the forward slash a typo? Or a lisp maybe?
-
Some notice but want to add something. The above was from a post someone made to an old thread about taking online college classes.
