I just watched the short video. It is a beautiful animal. I haven't read the online article here. I did read an article in National Georgraphic a year or so ago. http://www.popsci.com/node/65758/?cmpid=enews012413&spPodID=020&spMailingID=5104427&spUserID=Mjg1MjU5MDM0MTgS1&spJobID=307862224&spReportId=MzA3ODYyMjI0S0

Mail A Ball Instead Of A Greeting Card!
ButterflyLion replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
i I will. I wrote "Have s Ball on Your Birthday!" and Love with our names using a black permanent sharpie. I also decorated it with various stickers. The stickiness of the stickers was something I was wondering about but I needed to get it mailed so I didn't have time to experiment with alternative adhesives that might have been stronger. -
Mail A Ball Instead Of A Greeting Card!

I mailed it this afternoon first class for $2.12. So the total cost was a little less than $5.50 for the ball and shipping. -
I have the Prime membership from Amazon. I see books marked Kindle Edition: Free To Read. Some of these are arts and crafts books with a lot of illustrations and some are just nonfiction books with pages of text. I don't have a Kindle. Can I read them on a laptop, etc.?

Marijuana is a drug. Certain substances are classified as drugs and it happens to be one of them.

Alcohol is a drug whether in wine or whatever. There are age requirements for its purchase just like other types of alcohol: In recent years, the alcohol content of wine has spiked considerably, even for varieties once considered light. www.realsimple.com/holidays.../food.../alcohol...wine.../index.html

Those are the facts. There's nothing to argue about.

It's been thoroughly documented. Really, have you not seen any of the special reports, media coverage, etc.? But Tina took things one step further, surprising even herself with cravings for wine in the morning. "It happens so quickly that you don't see it coming. You just wake up one morning and you're like, 'Oh my God, you know, why are my hands shaky,' or 'Why do I have this strong urge to have a glass of wine? It's 9:30 in the morning, are you kidding me?'" Tina said. Tina continued to find ways to rationalize her drinking. "I tend to justify things, like, 'Oh, it's been

They are foods. Alcohol and tobacco have age restrictions that determine who can purchase them.

Well, no matter how many times you may say "trolley" and such and use the UK's spellings I don't think anyone is going to mistake you for Mary Poppins.

One big difference. None of those items are DRUGS.

I remember the time I posted that I thought grocery stores should place all alcohol in aisles separate from food items similar to tobacco. Now they place a display of wine here and there. I remember one time Kroger had closeout wines in shopping carts for weeks down one of the frozen food aisles. Some people forget that alcohol is a drug. I think people shopping with children or someone with a drug problem, or just someone like me who doesn't drink should be able to shop for food without having to having all these alcohol displays scattered through the stores. I remember when I posted this

Mail A Ball Instead Of A Greeting Card!

I went by the Feed Store in Douglasville to get a 50lb. bag of sunflower seeds for the birds so I went on to Walmart. They had some really huge balls in a bin labeled only $2.50 but I thought they might be too big to mail. They had a few others but not what I wanted. I bought one at ToysRus. It looked like those in the photos that had been mailed. I bought a yellow one. The receipt says 10IN PVC Ball. It was $3.20 including tax. They had blue and pink, too. I think the stores probably stock more of these during the summer. I think yellow will be good. My neice went though a stage when she like -
Mail A Ball Instead Of A Greeting Card!

Yes, they can be ordered for about $25.00 including postage, but from other websites I have read that some people just buy the ball and decorate it with stickers and sharpie pens and mail it at their local post offfice for approximately $2.00. That's what I want to do---using colors and images my niece would like. -

Does anyone have a suggestion concerning the best place to buy this type ball? -
Once when a member here posted something hurtful about depresssion directed at me, another well known member posted in return that her friend (the member that made the post) "dis" me not her or another one of friends---so apparently that made it acceptable. It's sad that that behavior is as common as it is vs. the Golden Rule.

I haven't borrowed a book through Interlibrary loan in years and that was when I lived in another state. Can I request a book by Interlibrary loan online? Is there a fee involved? The library is closed today so I thought I would ask here. Also, I thought someone else might like to know.

I haven't had a Mayberry in so long. Isn't that suppose to be spelled wholeheartedly? On that note I will say I'm not much to point out misspellings and typos and such. I make them myself and when I notice that I have it bothers me. I do wish I was less critical sometimes---of others and myself.

Arthur C. Rogers, I noticed you mentioned morals. Have you seen the movie, "Time Changer?" I thought it was interesting and showed a contrast in times. Note to all it is from a Christain view. the description is from Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is available on Netflix. This free full length version on You Tube is in English with foreign subtitles: "A man is sent into the future to see the possible results of his actions in this mixture of sci-fi adventure and Christian drama. In 1890, Russell Carlisle (D. David Morin) is a philosopher and college professor who has completed a manuscript he

I have a niece who is having a birthday soon. I was thinking of mailing her a ball with "Have a Ball on Your Birthday!" printed on it. Has anyone done this? Where is the best place to get these types of balls? Here are some pics that show what some other people have done. They can be ordered from a company but some people decorate and mail them themselves. NO box is used. The stamps and message and address are on the ball itself: www.giverslog.com/?p=10880 http://just10moreminutes.blogspot.com/2011/04/have-ball-with-send-ball-review.html

I guess it got her some media coverage but I don't see it doing any good for anyone no matter how they view guns: Lady Gaga has stirred up yet another controversy. During a concert in Vancouver on Friday, Gaga strutted on stage wearing a bra festooned with two fake assault rifles. Gaga paired the rifle bra with green military-inspired pants and high-heeled combat boots. ... http://tv.yahoo.com/news/lady-gaga-wears-gun-bra-angers-anti-gun-145800717.html

This is especially a great time of the year to make soups that are healthy for you and low in cost. I make Lentil soup with dried lentils, water, carrots, onion, canned tomatoes, and celery. Kroger and other grocery stores usually have 1lb bag of lentils for about $1.10 a bag. Canned tomatoes are often on sale, too. I believe Aldi has fresh carrots advertised on sale this week. Aldi has some of the lowest produce prices around on their advertised specials each week; ie. 5lb. bag of red potatoes is just .99 this week.

Thanks. I think I asked once before here if anyone made their own shampoo.
