Update Working Now: Firefox: You Tube Videos Won't Play
ButterflyLion replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for asking. I checked the plugins. Then I clicked on Help to see if I had the latest Firefox version and didn't. (I thought it was supposed to automatically update?) Anyway, I downloaded the latest version and it's working now. I hope it stays good. -
Edited to add: It's working now! I see a black rectangle when I want to watch a You Tube video when using Firefox. I found a fix that said to click on the Real Player logo and uncheck the Enable web download and recording box. Where do I find that? I checked and it does the same at the ABC website when trying to play a video there, too. Is one browser better than others for playing videos?

Praying for you to be encouraged and strengthened---and for the doctors and other medical workers to have Divine wisdom and guidance.

The father says they were living in Arizona when the mother left with Mitch: ... But letters weren’t the only way in which Wawrzynski tried for years to find his son. Numerous Internet searches and a private investigator cost money and turned up nothing, he said. Sheila changed her name and she and Paul moved dozens of times in recent years, investigators have said. Wawrzynski, an engineer in Reno, Nev., is also the father of two young sons. He says a Paulding investigator plans to have him undergo a DNA test to legally prove he is Mitch’s father. But the same investigator says Mitch i

I haven't seen it. Here is a review: http://watching-tv.ew.com/2012/10/20/the-girl-hbo-tippi-hedren-alfred-hitchcock/

Yes, Shadow of a Doubt was the one. It's funny but one thing I remember was the the gifts the brother brought to the family members. The father's was a wrist watch and he said he'd never owned one before. Now here it is 2012 and you can get one for very little money. I didm't know that about Rope but I felt like something was missing from the ending---but sometimes I think I expect too much. With the window open I kinda expected one of the characters to jump---try to throw Stewart's character out---or something?
-
I watched Rope for the first time a couple of months ago. Now after reading this thread I want to watch it again and see where Afred Hitchcock makes his cameo appearance. It's available free online. I believe I watched it on You Tube. I watched another one about the same time. It was about a woman's brother who comes to visit her and her family. I can't think of the name of it right now.

Can anyone think of any current or old shows that have or had similar twists in their plots? That's one of my top favorite type of shows and I'd like to find something else I can watch online.

Thanks. I've always voted on Election Day. Four years ago there was a long line outside so I want to go before then this year.
-
What is the difference between "early" and "advance" voting? Someone told me it you have to go online and register before being able to use early voting. Is that true?

It would be great if at some point future generations only know about tobacco from reading historical accounts. If no one wanted to start using it that could happen.

What do you think about the new episodes? One thing I'm wondering about is the scene from the last episode where Amanda as a child is in the water with her mother. Will she try to harm who she thinks is Amanda now?

PRAYERS FOR LADY RAIDER'S MOM AND HER FAMILY
ButterflyLion replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for letting us know. Praying for all. Does Lady Raider have siblings? -
Thanks for sharing that. Where is the recycling center you took your old washing machine to? Do they pay for other things or just metal?

This video talks about the healing power of music. It mentions brain injuries plus other medical conditions where it's seen as benefical. Has anyone seen it being used in a medical setting before? http://video.pbs.org/video/2202827060/

Choose which show you watched back in the 60's and 70's

Riptide was from the 80s but I liked Murrary and Roboz. I noticed You Tube has some different episodes including the pilot. This episode was "Somebody Is Killing The Great Geeks Of America:" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hPdVE4-P_E&feature=relmfu -
Thanks. Has it been cleared? Is there a link to see areas to avoid? I see they have a facebook page but do they post when an area becomes cleared for traffic?

I know he will benefit from the presence and caring of his family and friends. I remember him posting that he had lived in the area his whole life. How many children and grandchildren does he have? What about siblings and other family?

Your thread title: "Will IRON for Food or MONEY!" sounds like YOU are wanting to iron, rather than wanting to find someone to iron. I was curious about that so I opened the thread to see.

Do you think Sarah was buried with the love letter from her husband Civil War Maj. Sullivan Ballou? After Ballou's death the personal effects in his trunk, including the letter that was never mailed, were delivered to Sarah. The power of the letter was recognized even then, and handwritten copies were made. Many of those copies exist today, with slight variations from one to the other. The letter also appeared in publications shortly after the war. The location of the original letter is unknown. "To this day I have never stopped getting mail about The Letter," Burns said. "I have kept

That sounds like a good idea. Have you talked to the director of the Senior Center in Dallas? She could tell you what they offer and any ideas for activities that have been requested that they don't offer. Also, looking online at other counties and other places in the country might offer a creative springboard for some ideas.
-
I've seen the Senior Center in Dallas mentioned before but am not familiar with what they offer so I did a search. They offer trips and a book club. Here is a link to the October calendar with the planned activities listed: http://www.paulding.gov/DocumentView.aspx?DID=1292 Maybe Pubby could do an interview with the director sometime and a video tour?

Edited To Add: I posted this in the other thread but it was moved to a thread by itself. I thought it supported the need to be careful with guns and the other posts that had been made. I did plainly state when it happened: This happened almost 11 months ago in Dallas. Dallas party turns deadly - CBS Atlanta 46 Nov 10, 2011 – Dallas police said a man was shot and killed at a party Wednesday night. Megan Cates, 19, of Austell is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Aaron Wallace, 19. ... DALLAS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -. Dallas ... They said the five were pointing

Accidental Shooting in Paulding last night
ButterflyLion replied to gwilli8866's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I remember years ago when an actor died from shooting himself with a gun from the set of the TV show he was in. He put it to his head and pulled the trigger not knowing that a blank could kill him.
