  1. "thanksgiving in a pan"

2 cups pulled or cubed chicken, cooked

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 bag of cooked brocalli and caulifour

1 box of prepared stove top

    6 slices of velveta

layer the chicken mixed with the soup (straight out of the can) then top with the veggies, cheese and stove top. Bake for 35-40 at 350. Feeds about 8 people once, or 1 person 8 times. my mom used to send them to me frozen when i was in college - its good stuff.

Depending on how many you need to feed don't rule out the "college kid diet" 2 large little ceasers will get you through the week for 10 bucks.

  2. The 7yr old East Paulding Raiders are playing the 7yr old South Paulding Bears during halftime of Thursday night's Falcons v. Patriot game. Last year Pubby came down and video the kids playing at our tailgating party. Everybody tune-in and maybe you can catch a glimpse of the action. Oh yeah, the Raiders are gonna dominate ;)

At 7 years old you would think they could just learn the game and have some fun playing on an NFL field.....naaaahhh....

  3. cool stuff. This is the kind of thing I was refering to when I said "further testing" in the other topic. Glad to see these are coming along and approved for home use now....

The ZetaLux has just achieved another milestone for LED technology by

becoming the first UL Listed and FCC approved LED light lamp for general

    household illumination.

A lot of folks don't realize if you use non UL Listed or FCC approved electrical items in your home and they start a fire your insurance will not cover the damage. If I still lived in Ga. I would come check them out - you don't happen to know any dealers in Ky do you?

  4. The political calls are coming from out of state numbers being made to local numbers.

Another common practice. Call centers with auto dialers can be located anywhere, no one is being "put out of work", its a computer program. I just don't get the outrage, its typical for this time of year. If you don't want to hear the message - don't pick up the phone when the caller ID isn't a number you recoginize. Really not that hard.

  5. My guess is its a cell phone. One that the OP gives out has her "home" number so it is listed in databases as her "home" number next to her Ga. home adress. Computer databases that call don't care about the area code, its the zip code that matters, the phone number is just attached to it. I have two out of state cell phone numbers, but if you list it as your primary or home that is what it is, and that is based on your ADRESS, not the area code the phone is connected to.

  6. Robby reminds me a lot of AJ Foyt. If it has wheels and a motor he can probably beat you in it.

Him and Stewart are the last two real racers left on the circuit. Ironic that they hate each other. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of other great stock car drivers out there, but those two can drive anything with four wheels and win.

  7. And your point is ??? You brought up Robbie Gordon's off-road experience which is BAJA.

The 2 wins he has are probably both road courses. How off-road helps you out on road courses is beyond me.nea.gif

Jimmie Johnson riding motocross & NASCAR are 2 totally diferent things? SO how would motoX help JJ in NASCARunsure.gif

Ricky Carmichael is NO WHERE NEAR READY to make the jump up to Cup with the big boys.

So I fail to see the point you're trying to make here. You asked if RB would be a contender if he had Hendrick money backing him. My answer is still NO. If Hendrick thought he was good enough he'd hired R. Gordon instead of 87 y/o Mark Martin.

    DM<

You lost a lot of credibilty with this post.

Oh, and just a note. R. Gordon only races Nascar to afford his off-road racing career which cost almost as much but for little to now earnings. The sponsor dollars make up the money he needs for his Baja pursuits. The guy is one of the best over all racers out there. Baja trucks, dirt bikes, indy cars and stock cars - wins in ALL series at ALL levels of those, damn impressive.

  8. Junior IS NASCAR and the reason the majority of fans continue to watch.

Sorry but that statement is 100% false. If jr. stopped running NASCAR would go on. A lot of drivers have a lot of fans. Gordon, Johnson, Stewart, Kahne and even Bush have legions of followers. One many doesn't make the sport. Now, there are a lot of JUNIOR fans that ONLY watch for him...but they aren't NASCAR fans.

He is good for the sport, but what drives me nuts is the way they talk about him as if he is in the same class of driver as the ones mentioned above - he's not, the performance on the track speaks to that. It will be interesting when Sr.'s grandson starts running cup in a couple years as he appears to have more on track ability if "junior nation" stays with the 88 or starts rooting for the 3.

Junior is the most popular, no doubt about that. But Bush and Stewart are the best drivers and Johnson has the best "crew" if you are strictly looking at on track performance. Shout, Hendrick is getting a real push from Gibbs for team this year.

  9. Sounds like you know a lot about the shelter well I do to I know that the RAT problem has been at that shelter for over a year and a half and not one thing was done about it

just well there are RATS at the shelter so what.No one thought about the people that came in and out much less about the people that work there!!!

Actually I know very little about the Paulding shelter but I have worked/volenteered at farms, shelters all my life - I realize there are certain things that have to be dealt with, rats being one of them, when you have animals. Over a year? Really? I dropped off food etc and never saw a rat while I was there. When the state did their inspection when the animals were sick if this was such an issue why was it not brought up then if it was such an obvious issue. Seems if it was that bad they would have forced the clean up before reopening that time around? Just food for thought.

  10. But apparently they can live in rubber and rope chew toys.

The rope I can understand, dogs could drag them through rat droppings etc and there is no way to steralize it. The rubber can easily be washed and steralized. Treats could be saved as long as the bag container didn't show damage, same with food, kitty liter etc. All of this will cost money to replace and some could be saved I'm sure. Unless there is electrical issues with the TV there is no reason to throw it out - that SCREAMS power trip if they are infact getting rid of it. Damage to furniture is obvious, no need to just throw it away.

Personally, I would love to hear from someone that could give an objective opinon on how bad it really is/was. To hear it from some folks it was like a biblical plague. I have trouble buying that. I'm sure there were issues that needed to be adressed but this seems like a push for votes come November, I'm just saying.

  11. man you must never have had many rats. those things will chew right though just about any container.

Yup. No such thing as "rat proof". Grandfather had a horse farm and his feed containers ALWAYS had holes in them from rats, and other critters, its a fact of life. Like I said before I suspect those that think this will go away are in for a BIG surprise and most likely have little working knowlege of places were a lot of animals live. Where their is animal feed there will be rats, you can control the number which it sounds like wasn't done very well (and why the manager should at least be investigated if not terminated), but you will have them.

  12. Of course, it's incompetent to store pet food in anything but covered containers! They had a rat infestation BECAUSE they didn't have proper containers for the pet food. The management let it slide until it became a matter of public human and pet health. I can't imagine what's more inept than poor organization to the point of health contamination!

I wasn't refering to any specific "code". If I had said, "up to speed", would you have inquired about MPH?

Wow, things sure have changed. I never saw food that was not covered or still sealed in its bags when I was there. Nor have a read that to be the case here, do you know this for fact or is it an assumption like the giant snakes, roaches and other stuff you are posting about? I think some people are really starting to mix up rumor, assumptions and facts which is not helping the situation.

Assuming you are 100% correct (which no one every is) I still see no need to waste money in changing over which county organzation runs the shelter, and rest assured it takes money. Fire the manager, get a new one, clean the mess, fund it properly (or actually open a shelter like the other countys have) for the new manager and move on. Transitioning to a complete new system, all new employees and staff etc seems like a big waste of tax payer money, but hey if thats what ya'll wanna spend it on feel free.

  13. Okay, so the whole place gets cleaned out, fumigated, painted/repaired, and a new set of standards are put into place so that the shelter operates in a way that benefits both the strays and the humans who visit the shelter. In a few weeks, it reopens, operating under a new paradigm, called competence. I think that, given the severity of the reported infestation to the point of being a health hazard, remedial efforts are underway to bring it back to code and those efforts should be supported, if not applauded!

Kudos to those who have undertaken this task for the good of Pauding County!

Could you post a link as to what "code" you are refering to - just curious. Again, I have no issue with change but this seems like typical overeaction by the suits in charge. Are you actually suggesting the shelter was run by someone that was incompetent because they had rats where their is large quanity of pet food stored? Really?

I think a lot of people that are so grossed out or think this rat problem is so easy to solve have ZERO experience working an enviroment like a shelter or a farm...just a hunch.

  14. TRUE. The information I provided in the description was from the tags. The "onfield Reebok" on the tag reflects the jersey is identical to the jersey the team wears as far as design. As you are aware there are many jerseys on the market that are not exact replicas. Thanks for the clarification. And, Thanks for the endorsement for these being a GREAT DEAL!

What size would you need in a Ravens or Lions? I am possibly going to be picking up some more in a couple of weeks. I got these 4 as they have proven to be some of the best sellers. Can't go wrong with Favre, Romo and Manning for sure!!! :)

You are more than welcome to try it! Like MMCM said the jerseys do run a little larger than the same size in a t-shirt. If they do not sell on here in a couple of days I am going to be listing on ebay.

I will have to check but I think I wear a 54, maybe a 56 as I always get them a size big.

For the Ravens I would love to have a Ray Lewis(and if it was the black alternate that would be even better then the purple but not a deal breaker ;) )

Lions, would have to be Calvin Johnson or even better Suh.

  15. Just to add some of my personal insight to keep in mind these are made to look like the jerseys the pros wear. They no longer make actual authentics for fans to buy because the ones players wear now have what they call "cap" sleeves and are very tight fitting, they look horriable if you aren't wearing shoulder pads under them. These are as close as you can get. About 3 years ago these would have been what the players wore on the field but tech has changed thanks to fabric developments in our industry. The sizes do normally run a little bigger then a normal tee on these products. The number is a formula that takes into account chest size and length.

Just some insight from a guy in the sports uniform business. Sports Source can provide more details I'm sure. They are a heck of a deal - if she had a Lions or Ravens one I would jump on it. If you are fan of these teams or players don't let this pass you by, She's actually under estimating the retail value they are more like 120-150 at stores.

  16. Just a reminder that there are people immensely interested in serving, but who simply cannot afford to do so.

^ What he said. Even the thought of the cost of running made me shutter, that doesn't even take into account the pay decrease when you are in office and the time you have to dedicate to the job to do it right. The system is VARY flawed and is really what prevents good folks from seeking office so we get what we have now.

  17. Did you mean Kerry?

Nope. Kelly the daughter. When they were kids Sr. would let them run late models and carts on the farm and she could out drive both of the brothers. Jr. talks about it in his bookd "Driver #8" and on the ESPN series they did on him (or was it the MTV show about him I don't recall which) and it is also in this book about Dale, which is one of the best I have ever read on him...
