Congrats! My nephew got back last Monday from Iraq with the 3/6! Met his new son for the first time! Our Marines are the best!

My BF's grandmother once made coleslaw for a family reunion. For days she told over and over about the "foottub of coleslaw" that she had made.
Now if someone starts telling the same thing again, someone says, "That's a foottub of coleslaw!"

just curious as to how many p.commer's are going to the show...
When and where?

I'd love Rain, but I'm still breaking up squabbles with my menagerie and the newest member. Sis needs to get the tomcat fixed, I think!
Are they females?

The recipe I had calls for Chicken flavor.

ALERT...ALERT! DALLAS RED STOLE MY CAT!
Dang, now I've got to go upstairs and make sure they're both there! Sure looks like Belle - wide load and all!
-
I make it with sunflower seeds instead of sesame and broccoli slaw instead of cabbage. Yummy!

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him
and never say its not quite as good as his mothers
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour,
for as long and wherever you want ...
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care
about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies
then adopt a dog.
If you want someone who is content to get on your bed just to
warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores
then adopt a dog !
If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care
if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if
every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves
you unconditionally, perpetually ..
then adopt a dog.
BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come
when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair
all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only
comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence
is solely to ensure his happiness .,
then adopt a cat!
Now be honest, you thought I was gonna say... marry a man, didn't you?
Send this to all the women you know to brighten their day.
Send this to all the men just to annoy them!
You...
....have a GREAT Day

In and out of Yorkville FD in less than 10 minutes!!! I drove by the New Georgia Library on my way to and from Yorkville and the lines were long. No line at the FD. They have chairs for you to sit in while you fill out your information. I feel so much better now that it's over with. It was well worth the drive.
Same here! It was a nice drive and beats spending the time standing in line!

Where is the Yorkville FS?
-
Nope no heat here... bedroom window raised and fan on LOl and I am running around in shorts and t shirt LOL
We would be doing the same, especially my son, but my Mom lives with us. She's ninety and thinks it's winter already!
We've had the heat on at night and the AC at times during the day. Mom and I have been drinking our coffee in front of the fire in the morning for the last week. She loves the fire and I can take it for a while.
I love winter!!!

After trying several, I settled on Fresh step multiple cats. It clumps really well.

I'm going to embroider some of those on sweatshirts!

Bless your hearts! I am so sorry and I know the pain. Copper had a really wonderful life with your family and will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge, I'm sure.
-
Just to skin my ignorance, where is Yorkville?

I don't knit and don't crochet much since I'm a lefty but I subscribe to a newsletter. It's CRAFTSTYLISH and this most recent one had a pattern for a knitted prayer shawl in pink for breast cancer patients. I'm sure that crocheters could figure out how to make them, too. The idea is that a prayer for the recipient goes in with every stitch. I wish I could figure out how to sew one that would fit well.
Here's the link if anyone is interested: http://craftstylish.com/item/11354/make-it...er-prayer-shawl

My Mom's name is Sarah. Until last year, when I had a student named Sarah, I really hadn't realized how my Dad pronounced her name. I called my student Say-rah and her mouth dropped open. It was a total flashback to my dad because everyone here pronounces it Sera.
By the way, my name is Carolyn and I've known other people who spell their Carolyn with -ine. Go figure.

'Tis why I only do CATS!

If it makes little difference to you whether you have her and your children back or a roommate, I'd say you're in a lot of trouble. I doubt if she will perceive any sincerity coming from you. Do you want her back or is she just a roommate? If you want her back, shape up.
You haven't complained about what SHE does, just what you're doing. Don't sweat the small stuff, dude. If you don't love her, let her go.

Most southerners say "pin" for "pen" just like we say "dawg" instead of "dahg." BUT, children in school need to know that it is pronounced differently because of the standardized testing. They won't always take a Georgia test and these issues have come up in the past.
BTW, Merriam-Webster's site is excellent for pronunciation.
-
No, she is not wrong. "Pen" is pronounced incorrectly most of the time.

I was just reading that! If I lived alone, I wouldn't mind it as long as I had air conditioning!
I've been looking at this site for my retirement home for years... http://www.shelter-kit.com/unitone.html

I think they are beautiful. You and I have the same problem. I can work all night because it's so peaceful. No phones or anything to interrupt the creative juices!

After my Mom is gone, I'M going to be the cat lady! Wish I could take some more.

I know it's rough when your family is spread out as the kids get older, but think of times like this as opportunities.
I rarely got to be with just one of my boys and have some special time. When I did, we would call it a "date" and do something that we might not do if all of us were there.
Those were really fun times, as I look back.
