  1. TT, it's times like this that I'm so glad I have a boy! I know it has to be a constant battle with a girl. Even when my Mom was living and I was grown and married, I made sure I covered up the way she taught me to. Whew! I was always just a little bit scared of that blessed, saintly woman!
  2. I you, KRM. Thank you so much. He is so sweet and offered 3 times to make me some homemade soup and bring it over or whatever I felt like eating(he's a REALLY great cook). But, I have a fever and don't want him to get the same bug cause it's pretty nasty .
  3. Danvers on 41 close to the Big Chicken in Marietta. Mighty Casey's...me and Mom loved that place. Around The Corner at Akers Mill where you dialed a phone on the table to order. The Mad Italian. Magic Pan at Cumberland. And, YES! The Cherry Berry at Six Flags! AH! Yes, Hops was GREAT!
  4. thnx and you too. I've been battling fall allergies for weeks and I think they have gotten the best of me again. Voice is completely gone and running a fever.
  5. ........... , I'm bored and feelin' really .
  6. I baby my clothes. My Mother and Grandmother taught me well. My Grandmother was not only a fashion plate but she was a professional seamstress who mostly tailor-made mens higher end suits. So, she taught us how to care for clothing well depending on the fabric and how you wear them. Most dry clean only clothing can go through a few wears before it needs to be cleaned professionally again. You should wipe the garment with a cool, damp cloth, a few spritz's of linen water and most fabrics can be tossed into a low heat dryer with half a dryer sheet to freshen it up. You can also use spray starch
  7. they will! I do a LOT of weddings and need something quick that will last through a bunch of bridesmaids running around trying to get ready with rollers in their hair.
  8. yes! and they are easier and more secure than those pins that come with hot rollers...butterfly clips! I use them for rollers in the salon and have for years. Faster and better.
  9. I DO know what I'm doing. I'm enjoying my life and being happy . I have lots to be thankful for. Thank you, NG.
  10. I'm a little confused with your story. There is a ring but there is no "getting under" anybody. We are serious about our future together and agreed we wanted to build a real bond and a solid foundation and save sex for true commitment.
  11. 'tis more than 'okay'. I do! So, drink up! Or, whatever ya do .
  12. mine is definitely Ketle One Citron, soda water, a splash of cranberry and a slice of fresh lime . Always very interesting to see what people order :::abartenderknowsthesethings :::. You can tell a lot about a person by that. So.............? Cough it up! Pcom wants to KNOW! Oh, and CHEERS! :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks:......by the way, Ying Ling and Woodchuck are my favorite drafts .
  13. I have quite the collection of ex-boyfriends of all makes and models and even one ex-husband. I'm gonna put my collection on Ebay though. So played. I'm sticking with one great man.
  14. I love my life, my teenage son, my home, both jobs, my family...but this Chick is officially tired and needs a break! Looking forward to a great church service in the morning and then headed up to Dahlonega for the day. Any more worn out peeps out there today?
  15. I'm one happy girl. I collect Spode Christmas dishes which are NOT cheap. Me and my fiance'(who is a great shopper! ), found it today in Marietta SO stinkin' CHEAP! We cleaned them OUT!!! :yahoo: What do you collect or get excited about when you find a GREAT deal?!
  16. OH YES! The opening of deer season! WOOHOO! I'm celebrating NOT being married to my ex husband!!! I'm sure he will be in a tree somewhere. .................. thanks! we will!
  17. DGITW, I'm sorry it bothers you that I'm marrying the man of my dreams and we are deliriously happy. Not sure why you feel the need to continue reading my threads and my posts if you are offended. If I know a person or a topic consistently bothers me by their posts, I just skip them and find something that interests me more. Really, life is just way too short to be stressed by something as trivial and silly and a topic on a chat board.
  18. head up to Dahlonega to the Goldrush Days. We've never been but I've heard it's lots of fun. And, my favorite jewelery lady will be there or so I hear. Saving up my pennies this week to get somethin' pretty . I hope it's cooler than it was last weekend for the Apple Festival. Funnel cakes and hot cider just aren't the same when it's 80 degrees .
  19. I have my work cut out for me with all of your wedding ideas! It's gonna be very simple and low-key but WHERE is really important to me. Also, thank you for all the messages with links, numbers and especially the offers to borrow wedding items. How very kind and appreciated! I will be in touch!
