  1. So they can not add another 1%? I know that Florida is like 12.4% sales tax.
  2. Truly glad that everyone is safe. This is the 2nd house to burn in there isn't it? I cut a yard behind the lake on Lazy Water and I think a house burned last year on the left side of the 4 way intersection.
  3. Cobb hires out the transport. On any given EMS call at least an Engine will respond. Many calls will also get a rescue. For each call an ambulance will also be sent. Most of the time fire crews are first on scene. We have a very good ability to mitigate tansport. That is not our goal but we can not force transport and try not to waste services. We use Puckett, Metro and GA EMS currently. These providers place bids for the county to use their services. They MUST maintain certain guidelines of service. In return the county garuntees them pay per run. From my last conversation after my daughters
  4. They are telling you what the county has assessed your home at and the deduction factors. I'm confused over the returned value this year. You generally are taxed via mils on the 40% assessed value minus HE. Go to Paulding.gov and link to tax assessors. Then property tax. Put in your name and /or address. If you select all years it will give you a detail of what has been happening to your house values and taxes over the years. Last time I looked today it was not updated for 2009. Anyway with the assessed value you decide wheter or not to appeal the assessment of your homes value only. You can n

    AARRRGGG!

That is a felony as far as I'm concerned. I think I just woulda had to go there get him, tie him up, dress him up as a girl scout, put him out front of Madea's house with a sign saying "I will give you a free box of thin mints for every picture you take of me and post on PCOM" The kids have been asking when they are going to go there. It has been a rather busy Dr. week. Friday work for you?

    AARRRGGG!

"click" But I called him again later from the station and asked him about the dog. This is Sgt. ***** with Cobb. Did you find the owner of the dog? Uhhh yeah it belong to someone up the street. That person has a German Shepherd with my name (which is verrrry uncommon) and #on his tag? Uhmmm... I guess. I'm still thinking about calling them back everytime we get a call to update them of the whereabouts of my dogs.

    AARRRGGG!

I was in bed sleeping minding my own business trying to get my beauty sleep for work. Hey I had to go back to work someday So my phone rings. Who the heck is calling me at this time?! Hello... female voice... Your dog is in my garden. What? Again... your dog is in my garden. My dog is in your garden? Yes... your dog is in my garden come get it. Ok... where are you located? Bentwater. My dog is not in your garden. How do you know? I know my dog is not in your garden. Male's voice now... your dog is in our garden. Come and get him. Now some info about me. I live in South Paulding. not less than
  8. No house within sight of mine will have foot tall grass / weeds. I just can't take that. Empty or not I'll cut the grass unless some one tells me to stop. I do not care about the money, I just refuse to live in that bad looking an area. The Family on the corner 2 houses up is about to get a visit from the lawn fairy. (wait a sec... that sounds too weird... EWWW... the lawn mowanator!) Anyway I do not understand them. They had the whole yard sodded, put in an irragation system and landscaped but have only cut once every other month since then and it all looks like crap now. That is a bunch of
  9. I'm sorry dude. I tried, but SW just wasn't buying the Choir Practice thing.
  10. I have seen the boat. It is a nice boat. Why it would go up I can not say though.
  11. I have been cutting several in my neighborhood. Plus I have been cutting the road right of way, that most homeowners maintain but these folks aren't, on Austin Bridge from Lester to Hendrix on both sides. I have to agree with TBAR on his whole snake thing and I do not want to find any surprises when I go running there.
  12. Many jurisdictions have already addressed this and started new legislation simplifying the process to force the "owning" entity to maintain the yards. Paulding has codes that require lawn maintainance by homeowners. There is no legit arguement to excuse the bank from following the same codes.
  13. Primary issue was everday of our vacation started with a battle over clothing. We only took items he wears. We added ankle height wetness wicking socks to help keep him cool and dry. Poblems ensued when we ran out of the standard socks and plain white tagless tshirts.
  14. No choices really. I just did away with everything other than white crew socks, white undies, white tagless undershirts and the 5 pair of 4T blue shorts I just bought. I'll buy more when I got to the other WM. Pssst... The Hiram one is now out of size 4T blue garanimal shorts. He now is wearing a "uniform". Of his own chosing.
  15. We bought them before he went on the white or nothing thing. If you didn't notice he'll be 7 in Aug and is still wearing 4-Ts. He is very small for his age and is taking growth hormone treatments. Not to mention EVERYTHING has to be 1 size too small. And yes we just got back. 7 nights at Disney and 2 in St. Augustine. And yes we argued everymorning about his cloths. I told him... when we get back you are not in school or on vacation. I do not have to worry about how pissy your attitude is at home. Therefore the beatings will commence when we get home. We got home last night. I am not your
  16. He will be 7 in aug. We have been letting him wear what he wants. It has just gotten out of hand. This is the last battle I want to fight everyday. It is so unnecesary. I do not even try to get him to wear most things. But I am not a mind reader and if he wants to wear red how am I supposed to know if he wont tell me, which he won't. The big problem is with ready clothing. He has sooo much he will not wear and so little he likes it is rediculus. I can't keep up. He scatters all the other clothes over the room and I refuse to try to make sense of where my wife put the underwear and socks this t
  17. Let's be a little more specific. If he could we would be barefoot and shirtless all the time. If he did wear shoes it would be with no socks. The school does not accept this. So This battle rages every morning. During the summer it is my choice whether to fight this or not. I now simply have to say get dressed. Today he needed fresh underwear and simply did not have new clean ones since we just got back from a 9 night trip. I gave him new ones but they had "Mater" on them. 10 min. later I find him with dirty ones out of the laundry on.
  18. My son is driving me bonkers!!! He has ADHD. That makes life tough enough. For 2 years now we have been battling him over clothing of all things. Every morning I have the same battle to look forward to. I am so tired of having to have a 1 size too small white undershirt, white crew socks, white underwear and very specific shorts or pants. 2 school years back the school actually called me when it was in the teens outside to bring him a pair of shorts. He will not wear denim shorts or pants. He will not even wear a colored undershirt that is the same as the white ones. I had enough this morning.
  19. Mybike was stolen from my house too. Now who wants an ATB with a child seat on it? It wasn't expensive and was several years old but it WAS mine and on of a matched set. The fact that someone took it is worse than the crime itself. Bikes are easily purchased for $10 at the local garage sales. Why do they feel the need to steal one. They won't get $$ for it.
  20. You would be amazed at what they cram int Cobb station # 8! I think it is 5 bays. It has Engine 8, Truck 8, Haz mat 8 and the Hazmat trailer, 900 command unit, PDs bomb squad and boat, PDs armored car. Man I do not even know what I've missed. I do not get out there all that often.
  21. Cobb's station #1 houses that same equipment. Truck 1, Engine 1 and Rescue 1.
  22. Bump up for the weekend.
  23. Thank you to all for your support. It is always great to hear good things about yourself. I do aim to please. I do work in Cobb but I try to stay in the West Cobb / East Paulding corridor. Thanks again everybody.
