No doctors work harder than vets. They perform simple surgeries and complicated procedures on a variety of animals and in most cases, they don't specialize like human doctors. Since there isn't animal insurance, vets can't charge the prices human doctors can. Therefore, it's a labor of love for vets, even if they make a decent living. My vet always tries to save me money by using the least expensive and less invasive options for my pets. My heart goes out to this vet, because they truly love animals and they work their asses off.

Wouldn't it make sense for drug testing to look for levels of drugs that differentiated between an occasional or regular user?

People can criticize public figures and politicians are fair game but should use caution toward community members and business owners who could lose everything. I don't want that blood on my hands.

Jerks are people too and can own a business like everyone else. However, does it make sense for a owner to treat people so poorly, everybody is miserable? I'm sure employees will try screw a scumbag like this, every chance they get and this would effect productivity.

Aren't most of these procedures after 5 months done when the fetus is profoundly damaged and has little to no chance of survival and if the fetus lives, no quality of life? Terminating pregnancy should not be used as birth control, but if the fetus has no chance of survival or a life of pain and suffering, isn't the humane thing to do is terminate the pregnancy.

After reading the deposition, Deen's use of the n-word was the least of the problems and more to do with her brother's behavior and her responsibility as majority owner to control that behavior. If I told a female coworker she had nice tits, would I not be fired for that? In today's world, behavior that used to be acceptable, is no longer tolerated.

I grew up Catholic and made my confirmation and knew it wasn't for me. I know some terrific people who are religious. I'm sorry if I came across as lumping all religious people in one category. I've seen people on pcom who claim to be Christian make comments that are as far away from Christianity as possible. You're right, non-Christians can be mean too but for a religion predicated on compassion and giving, I see very little compassion.
