News from the candidate forum last night
tmilanese replied to WHITEY's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Whitey, do you think it would okay if we have at least one person on the BOC who isn't hand-picked by you and David Austin? Or is it in the best interest of the residents that all the members of the BOC be part of a new "good ole boy" group? I kind of like the thought of having a mixture of folks and some dissension amongst the BOC. Consolidated power is never a good thing no matter if it's the OLD guard or the NEW guard. But you obviously have your marching orders so have at it, however, if I was Mr. Austin, I would tell you to quit your slash and burn style. It's not helping him or his -

Don't confuse him with the facts. He's needs to get his entire family tree a raise and hold the state hostage like the teacher's unions have done in New Jersey. We need a Chris Christie for this seat and not a bleeding heart liberal who divides the county by using the same old emotionally-charged liberal rhetoric of "do it for the children". -

Welcome to the real world. We have a want-to-be professor, who's married to a teacher and whose parents are both teachers, who wants us to donate to his campaign so he can give everyone in his family a raise and government-protected job security that none of us have. What a platform. -

You are absolutely delusional. But don't worry you finally have you a Democrat candidate. Let's see how you and Mr Avery do in November. -

NewsJunky, liberals believe that when you tax corporations it comes out of rich share holders' pockets. They're totally ignorant to the fact that it leads to layoffs and increased prices for consumers. It's a death spiral and on full display in liberally-run states across the country. -

Good luck broadening Paulding's tax base with the anti-corporate rhetoric. This type of behavior in other states is exactly what drove businesses to Georgia to start with. -

So you and your wife would benefit financially by the legislation you support? Seems a little self-serving. How much of my tax dollars will you require in your legislation to go towards your wife's salary? Also, is it your mom or dad that would also get a raise due to your legislation? How many relatives do you represent in this lobbying effort? -

DOT, the states in this country which are on the verge of bankruptcy are all liberal democrat controlled. The states that in the best shape, and yes we're one of them, are conservative republican controlled. Secondly, half of Europe is ready to collapse thanks to liberal social engineering and welfare. Thanks to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, Georgia's Gold Dome will be turning a few more shades of Red after November. The "conservative" democrat is now offically extinct. They've being primary-ied off by the Democrat Party or else being out-polled by Repubs for November. I wish you and Mr. Aver -

Dude. Not taxing someone is not the same as bailing them out. The injustice here is not that Delta gets to keep more of their private property, it is that the rest of us don't. Figure out how we can keep more of our money without demonizing and stealing it from a company that single-handedly keeps three towns in S. Atlanta living and breathing. Set aside your Obama populous speech, it won't work in Paulding. -

Improved school choice, gun rights, stricter sex offender laws, tort reform laws, know they neighbor act, stricter illegal immigration laws, balanced the budget, and I could dig up several tax cuts targetted toward businesses.
