  1. The program that handles the check can go for all that but the BOE says they are only paying for a check of the sex offender list. It is an instant check and they know immediately if you are on it. You have nothing to worry about gog8tors.
  2. That is the background check. Think we paid around $54,000 for it.
  3. But not ALL students do. Zero tolerance did not stop those shootings and it would not stop others from happening either. It is a case of over reaction. I truly want a way to protect every child and every teacher but we are taking it too far. Can't say I am warm and fuzzy about the new measures being taken to do background checks on everyone who goes past the main office in every school in Paulding.
  4. It does none of the things that were promised. Helping those who needed help with medical care at an affordable cost was the promise but the goal was to put government in charge of your healthcare and your life. It is proving to be a costly mistake and a lie.

Mine does that too sometimes. I wondered if it cut down on the amount you can give in 24 hours.
  6. This should be called unaffordable health care.
  7. Thanks to Micah Gravley for getting behind changing a bad law. Common sense should rule in these cases.
  8. Good to see you. Glad you are feeling better. I had to leave early so I don't know how the meeting ended. Last speaker had finished when I left.
  9. The program is also a failure. It fails to do anything that they promised it would do.
  10. Monumental Failure! I heard that the Obama Administration wanted to keep the details of Obamacare secret so they employed folks who worked on his campaign to set the program up. That would certainly explain why it is such a mess. Don't know if that is true.
  11. Building where you register to vote and get tags. Think it is the 2nd floor.
  12. I wouldn't either. I am surprised at how easy it seems to be to get info on people by putting hot button words on petitions.
  13. Animal, I don't know what the answer to that question might be but I do know that things can take a turn financially in this economy. If looking out for your family "first" became an issue that is what I would expect a responsible person to do. As I said, I have no clue what the response might be.
  14. I think the guy is over the top but it does not change my question. I believe people are giving away their freedom a piece at a time for the fake promise of security. If we fall for it we will have neither. I agree with rednekkhikkchikk. It has been going on a long time.
  15. I am shocked that Americans are willing to sign a petition to support a “Nazi-style Orwellian police state.” Would you do it if you were told it was for safety? http://www.infowars.com/americans-sign-petition-to-support-nazi-style-orwellian-police-state/
  16. Great article on how Obamacare could effect hospital care...... http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/20/hospitals-face-whole-new-world-under-health-law/3078353/
  17. Great idea to tax folks who are already struggling with part time jobs or no jobs. Tax breaks to bring business here would make more sense.
  18. And how much was added to the national debt the day after the shutdown was over? Try 328 billion dollars. for the first time ever the US debt now equals $17.075 trillion. We would have been better off if it had remained in shut down mode.
  19. Happy Birthday Rockysmom! You are some debater! Hope you have a great birthday!
  20. They just cut the funds going to pay for investigators with HHS. That department has always recovered enough from folks who commit fraud to fund itself. Now why would they do that just when Obamacare kicks in?
