Simply reprehensible.............................

Amazing how many folks who claim to be for freedom of choice in so many ways want to limit the Christian choice. Thank you for clarifying the Boy Scout issue. Talk about being closed minded..... -

You are entitled to your view. See you around but not if I see you first. BTW none of my comments had anything to do with any dislike I hold for gays. It does not exist. You decided that it must just because I defended the Religious freedom of someone. I am done with topic and with you. -

Guess you could view it that way but she says she only came to her Christian beliefs well after her divorces. God forgives us all when we accept him. If he forgives her who am I to Judge her. You are judging me too You have no idea what is in my head. Really had no idea you disliked me so much. I don't know what part of everyone got their way in this that you don't get. Do you just want this woman crucified because she does not agree with you? -

The County did not accommodate her or the issue would not have evolved. You are right someone wanted to make a statement and they sure did! They even came from out of state to make it. She asked them to do what they finally did do in the end. How is she wrong if her religious beliefs are that strong? After all she wants to keep her job and her beliefs and the Court had not ruled on the issue when she stood for election.. I think the voters will decide in the next election and that is as it should be. -
A safe zone should be created in that region and the countries affected should all contribute to keep the refugees safe there. Problem solved and no ISIS coming to America with them.

Actually it is one of those cases. Because Kentucky has a Religious Freedom Restoration Act that covered her it was up to them to make accommodation for her religious beliefs. She did not have to be in jail. In the end the state did what should have been done in the first place. They took her name off of the licenses. The gay marriages took place and can going forward, Everyone got what they wanted. Or did they? -

See I knew you would like it if it was the Muslim religion practicing and praying on government property. Just can't be Christian. I think I have tired of this discussion. The end result is not surprising any longer. Have fun I am out of here. Got other fish to fry. -

So how do you feel about rooms for foot washing on college campuses for Muslims? Or for schools that allow them to pray so many times a day? Which religions are worth favoring and which are not? This was in 2013 and there are more of them now. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/30/muslim-students-pray-school-maryland_n_2583118.html -

I don't know if he went to jail because of his faith or not. As I said there was a time when people of faith did not have to worry about where they were when they practiced that faith. I think it has gone too far. That is why Georgia will have a Religious Freedom Restoration Act. I will ask the question again, if the government is going after her to enforce a law why aren't they enforcing others? I can tell you why. They don't like the others but they do like this one. -

Because Christians used to be able to hold their beliefs and their jobs. They are targets now. If a police car has "In God We Trust" on it they are all over the news and there are demands that they take it down. If a school band plays "How Great Thou Art" they are silenced. If a group of Christian Athletes has a baptism after school they and their school becomes a target for the haters of religion. Those are recent examples. It is going to get worse and worse. Christians need to stand up or be forced to hide their beliefs. In this case it is the first time I have known of someone going -

I will say again that is up to the folks who voted her into office. It should be everyone's concern that the Constitutional rights are protected. They managed to do both in the end. I would call that a win for all concerned. BTW I do have this question, why is this law so important and the immigration laws aren't? I know the answer do you? -

I think that decision will be up to the voters in her county next election. I also think she will not be the last to stand for her beliefs. I told you this won't go away that easily. Georgia will be passing its own Religious Freedom Restoration Act soon. Guess you will hate that. -

You can believe whatever you want to believe but I know that Ted Cruz had nothing to do with her decision. He is an honest man. Something Washington doesn't see often. Yes I have met and spoken with him on more than one occasion. Think I know him better than you do. -

You are so wrong. Guess you missed that she is a DEMOCRAT and that Huckabee barred Cruz from stepping on any stage. Huckabee's people blocked Cruz from having anything to do with it. I think it is just as well. All Cruz wanted was to see her religious freedom protected. Huckabee is a whole other kind of candidate. He is showing his true colors. Can't speak to what kind of agreement he made with her. -

And her county has a Religious Freedom Restoration Act which requires her government to find a way to accommodate her religious beliefs. Looks as though that is just what they did. You should be happy that everyone is considered and your friends will get what they wanted too. No one has to go to jail either. Or was that your preference? She should go to jail? -

Thank you for the up date. Appears the problem could have been solved before anyone had to spend time in jail. I agree, let the people vote her out if they don't approve of what she had done. She is their official not ours. -

Not a bit surprised that you think she should be in jail! I still believe people should have freedom of Religion and be able to keep their jobs. Don't think they should be jailed for their Christian beliefs either. There is a way to work that out. BTW those folks could have gone to another county if their goal really was just to be married. That was only one of their goals. The other was to see this woman in jail or make her go against her Constitutional religious freedom. -

Hobby Lobby was protected by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. As I understand it her state has a Religious Freedom Restoration Act that protects government employees. I am only trying to see all sides of this. If that is true they will have to come to some agreement about her job. She is an elected official. -

I guess they think that solution is accommodating her religious beliefs. I am reading that there is another Clerk doing the same thing there. We shall see where it all leads. -

But Kentucky has their own which covers elected officials. She is theirs after all. Of course I think Cruz has a chance. More than that I support him. He has forgotten more about the law than most experts ever knew same goes for the Constitution. He memorized it when he was a teen. Look up his history. We need someone like him in the White House. Just a few of his qualifications. Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, and had the longest tenure in Texas history. Judge has ordered her released. Low, I would not expect any other comments from Christie. He might as well drop out of the race. He is a RINO and always has been. BTW Religious Freedom Restoration Act. has it's roots in the federal law. That is how Hobby Lobby won their case. http://fox59.com/2015/09/08/kentucky-clerk-kim-davis-released-from-jail-per-judges-condition/ -
