  1. I'm 15 years older than my 24 year old son. Works just fine for us.
  2. Don't make me threaten your vagina with a coat hanger!!! Yes. This will be the title of the book I eventually write about our life.
  3. Red Badge of Courage. and the discussions of its not so disguised comparisons to Christ and the Bible.
  4. no one wants to steal my kids.
  5. one of mine will sit. she gets pissy when we take her egg. will the eggs make the trip to Smyrna though? and will the mama duck take them back when they hatch?
  6. I have two laying hens, and almost none of the aboveentikned things in your post. They walk around the compound, completely unrestricted, and eat nothing but bugs and table scraps. No nesting boxes, nothing from a feed store. They each lay an egg a day, one in an old school bus in the way back yard, and the other behind the air conditioner. Backyard flocks are only as complicated as you want to make them.
  7. Good. I'm gonna need a g'ma, wherever I live. A town with a Walmart and a grandma is definitely worth looking in to.
  8. We went out with some friends last night who were utterly shocked at our decision to move 'up north'. I've read some of the comments here to MD. He's startin to reconsider Arizona.
  9. My kids have until next August to get their crap together and move the hell out! The boys are 19 and 24. My daughters are 21 and 15. Neither of them live at home, they're both in Virginia. All of my animals, except the cat, have been rehomed already. I moved the boys and myself out of the ex marital home last week and into a rental in the East Paulding area. This is the transition year of getting the kids out of my house while MD maintains the house in Smyrna. We've got a lot to accomplish before the move to the Northwest, not sure it's time to start home shopping just yet. I have looked
  10. Totally relevant, and welcomed in any thread of mine. Porn speak, not furbugers.
  11. Neither of us has ever been. MD is tired of people. They seem to be few up that way. I always thought i'd make an excellent pioneer.
  12. Does this state not have indoor heat???? Tanning happens indoors, silly. Florida can kiss our asses. We hate Florida. The southeast is humid and oppressive. We thought about Arizona, but, well, Mexico.
  13. Meh. He's retiring and I just wanna work in a tanning salon or strip club or library.
  14. Um, neither of us are frackers....
  15. Thanks! This is one reason we won't be taking a vehicle with us. Buying one when we get there will probably get us in to something much more appropriate for the area.
  16. I agree with being close to medical care. MD will be 62 when we make the move. Although he's healthier than I right now, it's hard to predict what the future may hold. Course, if he ever finds out that he has severe medical issues, bastard will just ride his bike off a damn cliff anyway.
  17. Why South Dakota? Cause its never on the news. And...... Sturgis. MD has maybe 10-15 good years left. I want them to be happy years. He wants to move away from all the crap. I'm totally ok with that. I'm finding my sense of adventure. Did I mention that we will be selling everything we own and riding the bikes up there when we move???
  18. Leaving corporate America (or Great Britain) means a radical lifestyle change for me. MD seems to think he can just wrap a buffalo robe around himself and eat wild game. Not this princess! I at least need indoor plumbing and a consistant heat source! Not to mention, a Walmart within an hours drive. I can be a lot less materialistic than I am now, and be very happy about it. But there are certain creature comforts I refuse to live without.
  19. You! Eff off!!! I'm on my crappy iPhone.
  20. Yep! MD and I have decided that next August we will be moving to South Dakota. We are totally over living in the South East. Time for a change of life and scenery. Anyone ever lived there? Been there? Know someone who lives there? Housing seems to be affordable, but jobs scarce. I'm researching now to find out how big of a change this will really be. He will be retiring, but I'll need to work at least part time. This next year will be spent saving money and cong up with a realistic budget for this last part of our lives. Exciting and scary all at once.
  21. yuck. it's been nasty here in fair oaks all day. i'm not looking forward to running wrecks tonight.
