  1. I saw it. Good show. I like that Sawyer is now the leader and that Jack is all pissed off about it. I wonder how faithful he will stay with Kate back. Little Ben is creppier then big ben. <looks for photo of little Ben for Avator> I'm interested in what island the plane landed on, do both of these islands move together? Also do any of the orginal members end up in the pit? Is Sayid really the key to all of this in terms of Ben becoming the evil guy he appears to be? This show presented more questions then answers but at the same time advanced the story - I still don't know how they manage to confuse the bleep out of me and still make me feel as if the story is moving along.

    What he said.

  2. Wow, what a thread!!!!!! What a thread!!!!!!!! There is always the city park or the Justice of the Peace. Here is another example of the "entitlement attitude".

There is no way I am going to pay $1.00 for that bottle of water. Absolutely no way. They want to charge me for the plastic container, the white cap, the label, and shipping charges. All I want is the water and I brought my own cup.

Well, here are your options: (1) tap water (2) local creek (3) throw your head back when it rains. Just pick one. ;)

  3. Could be interesting.... A supplier getting held accountable for giving someone something...

Think about it.... What about Liquor stores... Gun stores.....

They only provided the items.... She took them...

Just looking at it from a different perspective...

whew. the voice of reason. refreshing.

You were hitting on my thoughts too NavyEagle. Stern wasn't around in when Nicole was a playboy bunny. It is sad how her life turned out but she was an adult making adult decisions. Ultimately, her bad decisions played into her son's death and cost her her life. Now a young innocent little girl will grow up with all this baggage that she will have to deal with it at a young age.

  4. Unless they knock on my door...I ain't buying NOTHING! And that includes Wal-mart...you wanna sell some cookies, then hit the street. Honestly, I think it only teaches them that what they need will come to them if they wait long enough. Slackers!!!

They are going to be going door-to-door during the next few weeks. This week is actually designated as Walkabout Week to encourage more door-to-door sales. Due to the weather, our troop won't be going door-to-door until next weekend though.

  5. What do you guys think about this one? I went to Walmart last week..During school hours..And there was a MOTHER standing by herself selling the cookies..WTH? Did I buy any NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. Now I think that should be against the rules ^_^

It IS against the rules according to our service unit cookie coordinator. ^_^

  6. Something with ground turkey in it. That's all I've come up with so far. Actually, I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. It reminded me of the whole reason I got online (this time) in the first place- to find a recipe for dinner.

  7. My husband wanted to lose weight. He started exercising more and eating less. This time last year he was over 40 lbs. heavier. I had been stuck at the same weight for a while even though I was working out and thought I had good eating habits. I finally started cutting some carbs (especially my whole wheat bagel every morning) and running again and I'm finally beginning to lose weight. I know people want to hear that a pill is going to work. Even if one does work initially, it won't in the long term. The only thing that will work is completely changing your lifestyle. Try using a site like myfitnesspal.com to track your calorie intake and calories burned every day. My husband and I do this and are still amazed at how many calories we used to consume. We used to think we ate healthily. And food that's good for you doesn't have to taste bad. I'm finding that if I research I can find ways to make the same foods I made before, but with much less calories, salt, sugar, etc., and still have it taste good. Find some form of exercise that you really enjoy. If you get FitTV channel, they have this show called AllStar Workouts. Ellen Barrett has some good ones on there if you don't want high impact, and her workouts are fun and make you sweat! That's just one option. There are so many out there!

  8. No one came by our house this year selling GS cookies. Looks like we're going to miss our Do-si-Dos fix this year.

Next week the GS will be doing a Walkabout Week where they will be going door-to-door in the neighborhoods. From what I understand, they are doing this because a lot of people have mentioned that they miss seeing the girls coming around.

I was feeling the cookie stress the other day as well (to the OP). All the danged forms that have to be filled out and then the online ones as well. Counting counting and counting some more!! I haven't had the problem of eating too many though. I've had maybe a cookie a day. I can thank my hubby for that though. He's decided to become serious about his health and has started working out and eating healthier. He's lost 20 lbs. in two months. He's been my Jiminy Cricket when it comes to the GS cookies.

  9. Men are such wusses, they can't even stand to wipe their own hinies, they would still have women doing it for them if we didn't stand our ground when they were 3/

They still insist on standing up and missing, cause it is manly to have a women clean your splatter up.

    WORD!!

  10. I was really upset at how this show ended this yr. He led Molly on then to break her heart and pick Melissa. Melissa deserves much better. He broke her heart too. Boy I wish every broken heart ended in a 2nd chance! I don't feel one bit bad for him! He really screwed this one up. Remember part 2 of the final next wk.

I don't watch this show, except for one episode a few seasons ago (and had to go take a shower afterwards). I see the previews though and it doesn' t look like the formula has changed much. I don't feel bad for any of the girls. To throw yourself at some loser on national television, and act like a total slut doing it is pathetic.

I don't watch this show but was at a friend's house this evening and she had it on the tv. I have no idea why any woman would marry a man who wallers around all over other women while promising love to her. Are they that desparate?

Jason didn't have anyone decent to choose from. All 25 of these girls were nothing compared to some of the other ones on previous shows. Both Melissa and Molly are nothing but bimbos. They are both way too young and immature to handle a situation involving a guy with a child. When he chose Melissa, she acted like a junior-high school girl. She sure didn't act like a mature woman who had won the love of her life. I could care less how Melissa or Molly feel. I never felt like they were in it for the right reasons. My heart broke for Jillian. She was the most decent and deserving one on the show.

I believe you can fall in love with someone in that short of a time. My ex-in-laws married 6 weeks to the day that they met and have been married for almost 50 years. It hasn't been perfect, but they've stayed together and it's worked for them. I know a lot of people who knew each other for very short periods before they married and have wonderful marriages. I know others who dated for several years and the marriage only lasted a few months. I believe it's all about the maturity level of the two people involved, what they are really looking for, what their expectations are, and honesty between them. Trista and Ryan met on the Bachelorette and are married with one child and another on the way.

I will be very surprised if Jason and Molly last. I personally have to give Jason credit for seeing the error of his wasy. In my opinion, why drag it out if it's not what you want. I don't see any reason for staying with someone if you don't want to be with them. If he wants Molly and can make it work, good for him. But I think she'll be the one to break his heart. She's no better than Melissa.

I'm looking forward to Part 2 of After the Final Rose. It should be interesting.

To me, they are all bimbos who perpetuate the lie that a girl has to pretend to be something she isn't just to get some lame guy. But I guess they all got what they wanted...their few minutes of fame.

  11. You really didn't just ask this did you? Kids should learn to respect what is NOT theirs! Now I understand why all the kids in my 'hood think they can do whatever the hell they want on MY property. The issues is that Jr's parents will sue me as soon as he gets injured on my yard no matter if it is my fault or due to his own stupidity. What happens when I don't know they are out there and they are leaning against my fence, my dog goes out to HIS fenced yard and bites them? Then it's MY problem because Jr's parents couldn't teach him to play in HIS yard and stay out of mine or at least ask permission.

Love the attitude about this one. When I was a kid I would have never even though to play on the neighbors lawn - teach kids some damn respect for others and their property. <_<

    :clapping:

Actually I get the damn point, I am just enjoying myself watching all of you get all worked up....

I understand the respect and being in others yards. Its not right and my kids will be raised better, as I was. My response was to one incident not to whatever goes on in a neighborhood all the time. Like I said glad I dont live in one so I dont have to deal with issues like this.

And no I am not your neighbor and glad...My kids arent even old enough to play outside alone.

Who is it again getting all worked up?

  12. Well I just cam back from Sea World and Busch Gardens Fl Last night. It was exactly one month ago we also visited all the Disney and Universal Parks. I have to admit I thought the parks would be dead because of the economy. Boy was I wrong. For all the gloom and doom you hear on the tv and radio, the theme park industry didn't seem to be affected. All the parks were packed. If you don't mind the large crowds now is the time to go. They are offering great deals.

Same with the mall this weekend and the restaurants. Just as crowded as ever.

  13. according to you.

i could also say that kids need to be exposed to criminals, for the very same reason.

argument doesn't weigh as much then, huh?

i say, let the folks who wanna watch , watch. and the folks that can't bear to, can go do something else with their time.

but never would i presume to tell people that they ought to want to watch, or that my opinions should dictate how they raise their children.

After finding out what the hell CBeebies is, I have to say that I am opposed to anyone watching it, regardless of who hosts.

  14. My moment was at the Cracker Barrel in D'ville this afternoon. We just happened to be seated next to a table with incredibly LOUD people at it. Then my husband noticed his glass and my glass were dirty. The lettuce in his side salad was brown. After a while, my ears started to hurt (they were that loud), and then my 3-year-old covered his ears and started saying he wanted to go home. Then he wouldn't stop saying it and then he got louder and louder (though still not as loud as the people next to us). After a few minutes I had finally had enough and took him out to the car. We were only in the car for about 10 minutes when my husband, sister, and daughter came out. My husband had ended up asking them to make the food to go instead. Not that it mattered. I didn't have an appetite anymore anyway!!
