  1. Thanks. Did you order online?

    Yes, my husband ordered online.

All I do is run 4 to41/2 miles a day. Take off on Sundays. I have lost 77lbs since May and the running has helped me alot.......

Running seems to be the only thing that helps me lose weight. I'm working up to running 4 miles at a time though. Way to go on 77 lbs!!

  2. What is power 90 and Turbo Jam? Are these videos or a program? I need something. I do my workout videos, run, and lift small weights for my arms/shoulders.

They are videos that you do for 90 days. Six days a week with one day off. After the 90 days you take a week off. It's through Beachbody.

  3. My husband is doing Power90 and it's worked wonders. After I get to my target weight I'm thinking about doing Turbo Jam to get ripped (ripped for a girl anyway, not manly-looking or anything). I just run three days a week and the other two week days I do some kind of strength training.

  4. So -- After increasing pain in my lower back and a sudden onset of sciatica, I'm finally breaking down and going to a witch doctor for treatment.

What should I expect? More importantly, do I really have to wait 8+ treatments to feel relief?

I was skeptical too. I had bad headaches a few times a week and a few were bad migraines. After going to a chiropractor they just about went away and are definitely not as bad when I do get them now. It only took a few treatments for me to feel better, but that was for headaches so I don't know about your situation. Usually, they take your med. history, discuss the problem, etc. I think the most important part is just to try to stay relaxed during treatment. That was always my biggest struggle, but I'm kind of tightly wound usually anyway.

Our 9 yo old came in telling his daddy yesterday that he should go see a chiropractor because his friend in his class goes and says he always feels better after he goes!! That kinda shocked me! A 9 yo that goes to a chiropractor on a regular basis?

I've heard of children even younger than that going to chiropractors.

  5. Hmmmm..... What was the timestamp on my last post in this thread. Call it what you want, but CLEARLY I am not the only one who took it this way. You can single me out if you wish though. It still won't change how I feel about people fostering kids for all of the WRONG reasons. While you are so quick to point out that I should read the post more clearly, maybe you should scroll back through and see that the last few of my posts in this thread were not directed at the OP. Then maybe you should kick back with a glass of wine and let the kids run wild - hell why not, it's the weekend. ;)

Kind of sucks when someone jumps on you doesn't it? Even when later posts in a thread go on to clarify your other post. I wasn't just singling you out, and I wasn't the only one who noticed a bashing trend. I agree with you about people fostering kids for all the wrong reasons. I just struggle to see how it benefits anyone to belittle anybody else without trying to understand what they are trying to say first.

  6. How audacious! :o Foster parenting should not be looked at as a way to profit. Children are not meant to be paychecks! -_- There's a lot more I could say, but I don't want a mayberry negated by a bullet, so I'll leave it at that. <_<

Naaaah! Audacious is jumping on someone based on what you thought they might be inferring.

    In response to the OP...

It is my understanding that it does not pay anything. It is a volunteer program with funds available for the child, not the foster parent.

Your payment is Blood, Sweat and Tears and occasional recognition. If you are thinking of doing this for income, think again.

I didn't take the OP's post as meaning that at all.

Then perhaps you should have worded your title differently. FTR, I KNOW FOR A FACT that I am not the only one who interpreted it this way. ;)

I'm not making it a bashing post, I'm stating my stance on the way the question was posed. BTW, I'm well within my rights to do so. If you can't take the good AND the "bad", perhaps you shouldn't drag it all out here on a PUBLIC message board.

While you may not have meant to imply that you were looking to profit from fostering, that certainly is the way it sounds when you ask..... HOW MUCH DOES IT PAY? ;)

And that's when you read the post, the actual post....not just the title of the post. Or you (or all the other bashers) could simply have asked the OP to clarify what she was asking. God knows there are far less eloquent posters than she on Paulding.com.

Ok, so it doesn't read very well at first but, how many times have how many other people not clearly expressed themselves here? Perhaps a little clarification is in order before having the firing squad load their weapons. ;)

    My sentiments exactly!

  7. How many here actually make the bed every day?

For me, the bed MUST be made daily. I hate walking into the bedroom without the bed being made. It's usually done as soon as I get out of the shower. The only time it's not is if Jason is still in it. If he gets to sleep in that morning, I don't get to make it. BUT, it's done as soon as I get home from work, or atleast the first time I walk back up the stairs when I get home. I can't go back to bed in an unmade bed. Just can't do it.

    Exactly how I am.

  8. H E to the double L NO!

And for the "it makes me a hypocrite be cause I did it" crowd - no again! Just because you are older, and wiser for learning from your mistakes does NOT make you a hypocrite - it makes you able to speak from experience.

    :clapping:

  9. Today's problem is that too many people either under discipline or over discipline.

Then you have the nuts that believe smacking the kids arse in public is a reason to call the cops.

So lots of parents are gun shy to discipline a kid in public. So we have to live with heathens that deserve an arse smack.

I agree. I believe in spanking, but am too afraid to do it in public for fear that some overreacting weenie is going to call the cops on me. If my kids do act up though, I or my husband tend to just take said misbehaving child out of the store/restaurant.

  10. thanks guys. i need all the prayers and support i can get. the only motivation i have is that its expensive and unhealthy. but it is soooooooo goooooooooddddddddd....... dang. i gotta quit.

Add this to your motivating factors : You will smell much better. Trust me, having had many smokers for friends (and family members), they would try to cover up the smell with perfume and that only made it worse. You can do it!!

  11. I love LOST. It’s an interactive kind of show! Every time I watch I try to pay close attention to every detail and it never fails that I miss something.

In last night’s episode when Sun was talking to Christian & he was showing her the picture of the Dharma Recruits for 1977, there was the figure of a blond person standing behind Sun.

Below is a link to YouTube where you can see the encounter. I believe it’s Claire and it looks like she could be holding a baby. What do you think?

Creepy. I didn't notice it at all. Then again, I knit while I watch (though when watching Lost, I tend to knit less than I do while watching other shows).
