I know we had some weird, cringe-worthy fads, but were they really as bad as some of the ones we see now?

Never heard it called that...I remember doing that, had more than my fair share of bruises & a few sprains over the years doing it. I miss those days

My great grandmother was like this. She was dirt poor even before the Depression, so she had a really bad case of it. She even kept aluminum foil to use over & over & over again. When she died, the clothing in her MANY closets was packed in so tight we couldn't get any of them out. We had to break the rods they were hanging on and let the pieces fall. I'm pretty sure she never got rid of a single piece of clothing. Most of it was dry rotted & fell apart in our hands. I have to admit, I have a hard time getting rid of things for fear of needing it one day & not wanting to

it's me. My ex took it when we were in the English Lake District in 2004. The lake in the background is Derwentwater.

Spent the afternoon at Sun Valley Beach with a friend's daughter & the 3 girls she was babysitting. Hearing little ones laugh is always good for the soul Now, waiting on my mom & her boyfriend & their dog to get here from Savannah

The "wanna-be"s are the ones that scare me the most. They are the ones who desperately feel the need to prove they are "legit", so they will do anything to prove themselves & get the attention of others. I'm sure the kids will be talking about it when they come back to school next week (Cobb County schools start Monday).
