The fact that you call these parents a failure just blows my mind. Parenting is the hardest thing ANYONE ever will do in their lives. I guess your thinking makes us all failures in one way or another. There are actually parents on this board that have lost children in this manner or similar circumstances. You consider them a failure at parenting?

These parents took a very tragic situation and made something positive out of it. I say, good for them and us. Think of the lives of children they may have saved while losing their own.

How do you know their child wasn't taught the dangers of texting while driving? The child may have ignored the teachings. I don't see a thing wrong with them being a makeover recipient. This family has been through hell and back. Some folks need to step back and knock on wood, especially those with kids...,
