I can assure you that surepip is no liberal, And has voted Republican more times,Than you can imagine, And is still supporting and voting for many Republicans today.

 

Your false claims does nothing to further the Paulding County Republican Party. Just because surepip is not supporting Beverly Cochran this does not make him a liberal, As you claim.

 

As far as Surepip being vindictive,I THINK ???? not sure, That you know what the open records request is going to reveal, I hope that you and all others look at this information with a open mind

Leave the GOP out of it as I speak on my own. I doubt any records is going to change anyone's mind about Beverly as she was not an elected official, could not make decisions, and did her job as she was hired to do, and broke no laws.

 

Surepip has a vendetta against Jerry and that is what he is doing to further his cause and use this site to promote his vindiction. I don't care which party he votes for but his attitude is liberal plain and simple.

 

His business with the county should be in the courts; not him coming on here and trashing anyone he pleases so he can get his jollies by doing so just because she was his assistant.

 

It is dirty and smells bad and it is a shame that some cannot hold themselves back by doing so "because" they can on this site without being warned.

 

It is pitiful to be honest. People want to know where she and other stand on issues by meeting them; not hearing twisted facts to suit ones agenda on this site. And having someone whose main mission is too trash anyone he deems, in his opinion, to not be worthy of any elected office, even when he doesn't live in Post 2 and expect others to believe every word he says.

I offered to sit down and negotiate. David and I had a nice meeting at the time, and since. David let me know three members of the BOC chose NOT to sit down and negotiate until the Judge rules on the primary motion now at hand. OK with us. We offered to let the county off for far less than the dollars in the suit. Instead, from that point forward, we let it stand. WE can say we offered. They chose not to even give it a shot.

 

I have not turned on David Austin at all. I saw and spoke with him last week as well. Where do you get your misinformation from ? Where do you get off saying I have turned on him ? Excuse me again???????? You and your bureau of misinformation appear to be working overtime.

 

I will be picking up my open records request information tomorrow concerning Beverly, and will scan them and post to p.com as soon as possible.

 

I will be awaiting for an apology from you in the interim, although I highly doubt I will see one. Like some of your cohorts.....you are not always right, but are NEVER wrong.

As I asked before - this topic is "Commissioner Candidates". Anyone choose to discuss the 4 candidates running in post 4 and the 2 candidates running in post 2? Those posts make up 2 vote on the board. Beverly is 1 vote on the board. The 3 combined could make decisions - depending on how the voters vote.

3 of 5 is a majority. We still have 2 "good ol boys" in office now - Larry and David.

I know for a fact that Winchester is a very intelligent, informed guy so, it could just be that Winchester doesn't choose to spend as much time here as "some"; therefore he obviously wouldn't be aware of all the "technical" functions of p.com - I think he has a pretty full, satisfying life and doesn't feel the need or choose to spend most of his waking hours on p.com. Absolutely!

I think Tommie Graham has done a magnificent job on the BOC.

He comes to the meetings prepared, knowledgeable, and asks questions which cut to the chase. His financial background has definitely been an asset to the entire BOC. He appears to be very active within all sectors of the county including working with those not in his Post. I don't see how anyone who has watched any of the BOC meetings cannot be impressed with Tommie and I sincerely hope the voters of Post 3 return him to his Commission. He has definitely been a refreshing breathe of fresh air on the BOC and has stepped up to the job.

 

Right now I would have to throw my support for David Barnett for Post 4, but then again I personally know David and I do not know the others. David is a successful businessman and has managed to survive the downturn locally.

 

I have heard, but have yet to confirm that old King Jerry is supporting Anavitarte so I would be cautious with that one. Much like Post 2, if you want King Jerry's influence back on the BOC, then by all means vote that way. As many have stated, I have a vendetta for the Ex-Chairman and would be happy for him to retire to his Florida castle and leave Paulding behind.

 

And needless to say, I feel Todd Pownall would be an asset to the BOC. I have known Todd for 10-12 years now primarily through his work with the Relay for Life program. In addition, he displayed his courage to take on the Good 'Ol Boys when he stood down King Jerry 2 years ago slamming the lid on the cookie jar while King Jerry's hand was in it for all to see. And kept his cool in the process. I know what Todd supports and I feel he would make a good open commissioner who will watch out for the citizens of Paulding.

David and Tommie I would say stand alone and will work to do the right thing.

Don "waffles" back and forth. There are some issues I thought he would pick up the ball and run with, and he chose not to. But then again, for many years he was out there all by himself against the other 4, then 3 commissioners.

 

Larry and Wayne are your current Good 'Ol Boys and Larry stands the chance of sitting all out there by himself depending on how the elections turn out.

If I were to support Beverly Cochran it's ONLY because I know she can do the job needed! I have personally known her for more the 15 years, she's been to my house and we have talked many times. We have worked together on community projects, many community projects over the years. She is a good friend! But I don't let friendship decide who I vote for, never have. It's all about who I feel can do the job the best!

 

I will make my decision based on the merits on hand at that time! I don't care who they worked for as an employee, I don't care who they are related to or did business with either! ALL I care about is who I THINK can do the best job for that position! I damn sure not going to listen to a bunch of grumpy old farts with an agenda!

Property taxes are higher here in Paulding than they are in Cobb because of run away spending. What website are you referring to? Specifically what allegations are you referring to? Were these allegations dropped if there was an investigation done? Was Shearin or anyone from his administration charged with a crime (and I am not speaking of campaign contributions).
