birdmom Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 Usually when we prepare for the 50c Sale we have a huge reserve of clothing to put out for the sale. In the past, the 50c sale has been a way to weed out the bulk of our inventory. The 50c Sale is way families are able to buy clothes for their families and still stick to their budgets. We have been assisting more families with help lately and it does take a toll. Hopefully donations will pick up in the coming DAYS with "spring clean outs" that people do in their homes each spring and that should happen any time now. As of right now, we have to make an impromptu decision for the 50c sale that is for THIS Friday and Saturday. For this weekend's 50c Sale we will limit 50c clothing to only include: only: ALL CHILDREN"S CLOTHES (any season is fine) ALL SWEATERS ALL COATS The 25c Rack items will be on Sale for 10c for those 2 days Only!! The regular Daily specials for Friday and Sat of course will still be in effect 50% off Toys and animals (Friday) 50% off Purses and Bags (Saturday) Everything should be back to normal by the next 50c Sale!!!! I hated to do that, but everybody is having to do things like this with the economy the way it is. Hopefully things will be back to normal next month. I posted a few times for adult clothes and people did respond, but it was only just a few. For the record, we have tons of children's clothes. The change is just adults clothes. That is what we need! whitewitch369 Posted March 20, 2009 Report Share Posted March 20, 2009 I brouht two lawn bags full of my old work clothes (dressy stuff) since i cant wear and dont have much use. More to come i am sure. I may have a good many 14-16 size ladies things in the upcoming weeks as well when i help the Pinson Family go thru things...we will see, i know i put away a lot in storage totes for now for them, Not sure if anyone will be able to use or want to considering the situation as of yet and just too soon for all that. I will definitely be hitting your store to make purchases for the four kids soon as my own finances get back to normal. They need summer gear soon. I ALWAYS bring my stuff to donate cause i also purchase and figure its kinda like recycling..ha. Link to post Share on other sites

People have said that they are cleaning out their closets this weekend and we should be getting the adult clothes we need to kick start next week. Despite the limits today we had a great day.
