Bill passed on Wed nite Aug 29, 2007 after an extended illness he was a retired Cobb Co Law Enforcer

 

Memorial service will be at 4pm on Tues, Sept 4th with visitation from 2 to 4pm....there will be no viewing...at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica.

 

Party at Niteowl's home following service to celebrate his life, I know there are lots of you out there that know her. She is also know as .....flowercrazynana....... our hearts and prayers go out to her and her family.

Obituary:

Lt. William “Bill” R. Wilson, 64, of Dallas, GA passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007. He was born Feb. 2, 1943 in Bridgeport, Al; the son of the late Mr. James E. Wilson and Mrs. Mary Sloan Wilson of Bridgeport, Al. Lt. Wilson was a retired Officer who had worked for the Cobb County, Gilmer County, and Cherokee County Sheriff Offices. He was a Tribute Officer and the founder of the Tribute Program. He had dedicated his life to coordinating, carrying out, and handling funeral services for fallen law enforcement officers, which included k-9s, to ensure they received the proper tribute and respect they deserved. Survivors include his wife Therese Williams Allen Wilson of Dallas; two daughters; Pamela and Adam Malley of Stockbridge, Jennifer & Trey Grant of Hendersonville, TN. One son, Jeff and Cindy Wilson of South Charleston, West VA. Brother and sister in law Jimmy and Sheila Wilson of Bridgeport, Alabama. Three Grandchildren; RaeAnne Malley, Tyler Rose Grant, and Makayla Leigh Grant, and two nephews. Memorial Services will be conducted on Tuesday Sept. 4, 2007 at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica with Pastor Bill Lord, Sheriff Neal Warren, and Major Mickey Skelton of Cobb County Sheriff Office, officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, Georgia 30080. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com. Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica is in charge of arrangements.
