I'm pretty sure this is the Police Officer that was shot up close four times in the head. It haunts me because you can see him on video getting shot. Same officer that was protecting the black lady who got shot shielding her son. I'm disappointed in you, honor his service. This def was a good cop, doing his job. Not to many of us in here would be brave enough to do it.

Once again he was running away from the cop. If he had just stayed in his car and gave him his license, not to mention pay his child support, this wouldn't have happened. My husband didn't like living apart from us and missing his kids growing up for almost 4 years either. See when you think you have it bad other's had/have it worse. At least both of our families have Husbands and Fathers in the household. What about the poor cops who were shot dead and will never come home to see their kids. Now that was funny. You don't have the facts straight, he was pulled over because him and his girlfriend met the description of a robbery that happened. If he had his license out while waiting for the cop, because that is all he was cking for, it def would have ended up differently. Be prepared. Easy to do. Everyone knows that if you get pulled over the cop is going to want to see your drivers license.

Yes, because back in the old days, young people were more respectful of public officials. They were also embarrassed when they had to get on welfare. Watch the very first episode of Good Times. What an eye opener. This is just getting ridiculous. If you aren't breaking the law you don't deal with cops 99.9% of the time. I am so tired of the cops being in the wrong before all of the facts come out.

You know I saw something on the news yesterday that I've failed to mention and no one else has..... It was from some black country singer. I don't remember his name. He was saying that when you are getting pulled over by the cops to get your license and proof of insurance out before the cop even comes up. I know I do that. He also said to have your wallet in the cup holder and never in your back pocket. If people would just follow this advice hopefully less people would get shot. Keep the gun in your glove compartment if you must have one at all. Just common sense. And RESPECT

We don't know that it happened that way, I only saw video of what happened after he was shot. We don't know for a fact that the gun was legal. Only what the girlfriend said. Who knows if she is telling the truth. Why was she arrested If she was only a passenger in the car why did they haul her off to jail?

If he thought he was reaching for a gun yes he did have a right to shoot. The guy shouldn't be reaching for a gun and putting the kids life in danger. Just saw on the news now that a police officer was shot out side a MI courthouse. The cops will really be on edge now when they pull people over.

He was reaching into his pocket. You don't do that unless the cop tells you to. If the cop did and went ahead and shot him well he's guilty. I'm a guessing he went for his wallet not thinking about it. Always have your hands where the cops can see them. The cop had split seconds to make a decision and the decision will be to shoot or be shot in his mind. No we cant, because we didn't see what happened before he was shot.

I see it more as police officers are being judged and less likely to do their jobs, because their lives could be ruined for doing nothing wrong. Think of the police officer from Ferguson and the Baltimore cobs. If I get pulled over by the cops, I make sure they can see my hands at all times. If they kill me unjustly or justly, my kids will be millionaires. Or wait no they won't because I'm white.
