The story last night was a continuation of the one from last month. More is coming out.

This is the puppy. Animal control has him now. I hope someone can give him his forever home. He is such a sweet baby. He is less than one year old.

My bank requires I keep the check for 10 days. After that I throw them away.

I just don't want the dog put down.

Well the neighbors called the pound I just saw the truck leave with the dog. That poor baby never stood a chance.

A few months back I posted about a dog that was tied up all the time. I called animal control and of course they came out and talked to the people. A month later the people moved. I didn't see the dog so assumed they took it with them. Little did I know they had locked it in an out building. The landlord found the dog and feed it and said he was calling animal control. Animal control called the owners and told them to come get it. Really??? They leave their dog without food or water and they are going to give the dog back to them? Long story short the neighbors next door took the dog.

I personally would rather see our kids get books before computers. Unlike Cobb our county doesn't issue each student a book. It is hard to help children or even study without a book.

What if the there isn't a cost? What if they are donated?

I think people have their heads buried in the sand. They don't want to see the problem.

The booster club has been selling these signs since 2006. I would think if it was a violation of the law someone would have had said something.

So Glassdogs are you willing to replace the lost revenue if we take the signs down? We make almost 20,000 on selling the signs. This is money that the school does not provide to the program. The sports in High School are almost all self funding.

Drug abuse is huge in our schools right now. Many of our student athletes spend their weekends getting high. Ask the coaches they will tell you how bad it really is.

I would like to know how everyone feels about our high schools conducting random drug tests on student athletes? I personally am all for it. Several other counties currently conduct random drug testing on their athletes. I believe this is a great way to get the students help early. So many go to college and end up being kicked out of programs because the NCAA requires mandatory drug testing. I know most of the schools in south GA drug test along with several metro area counties as well. I am curious how our candidates for school board feel about this. I personally will not vote for anyon

There is not a sign on the EPHS board for a political candidate. If there is the Booster Club didn't put it there. The sponsor board is a way we raise money to off set the cost of football. ALL the schools have sign boards. Permission for the sign board was granted years ago by the administration at East. Each year we get that permission. Cheerleading also has signs that that they have sold on that board. The school system has an agreement with Ragsdale and their signs are all over the schools.

I wish I knew more about the other candidates. It would be nice if the others told us why they are running and something about themselves.

I am in favor of Theresa Lyons. She also is an asset to the school board. She and Kim work well together. I am a bit worried about the others running. I don't know much about them other than the man running against Theresa.

Will there be a debate for the candidates? I would love an open forum to be able to ask questions..

Freebird, no if the notary doesn't do his/her job and ask for ID then they are responsible. The notary in my example was prosecuted and found guilty. She contributed to the fraud. Had she asked for a photo id she would have known that the person claiming to be the owner wasn't.

This type of fraud is very common. It is very scary however it the fault needs to be placed on the notary who notarized your signature. Here is how it works. Someone has a new deed drawn and you must sign it. Of course since this is happening without your knowledge someone is signing your name for you. A notary has to notarize the deed. Thus indicating they saw id. I watched this happen first hand years ago when I worked at a law firm. One of our notaries never asked for ID and low and behold she gave someone's house away. East might surprise everyone this year. We looked good against toona. Our new coach is awesome! He is working hard and so are the players. If we have to lose a game this year let it be this one because it doesn't matter.
