I remember when Gary had Hondo on my place. Dekalb Co had their dog here to compete with ours in a training session. To the trainers the dogs are about like a family member, but they are more obedient than our children so to speak.

I respectably claim Vernell as one of my dearest and longest friends in Paulding County. She was one of the first people that I met when I came to Paulding Co for an interview to come to join two other Doctors. She gave me a tour of the new hospital and introduced me to some of the personnel. She was very professional and a down to earth type person, and I can truly say that she helped influence me to come and stay in this county. I remember the Supper Club. It was owned by a Mr Austin who lived in Yorkville. We always went there to eat frog legs which were out of this world.

I HAVE KNOWN GLEN FOR ABOUT FIFTY YEARS, AND I AM PROUD TO COUNT HIM AS ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS. I KNEW HIM AS A MEMBER OF THE HOSPITAL AUTHORITY, AND I KNEW HIM AS A BUILDER. HE BUILT MY HOME IN DALLAS AS WELL AS THE HOMES OF DR BRALY AND DR WORTHY. YOU COULD DEPEND ON HIM TO DO THE JOB RIGHT. HE WAS A CHRISTIAN GENTLEMAN VERY ACTIVE IN THE SMYRNA METHODIST CHURCH AND MEN'S CLUB. I CAN ATTEST TO HIS HONESTY BY TELLING OF AN INCIDENT WHILE HE WAS BUILDING MY HOUSE. HE SUBMITTED A BILL EVERY SO OFTEN FOR THE WORK COMPLETED. ON ONE OCCASION HE HAD MADE AN ENTRY TWICE FOR THE SAME MATERIALS. HE FO

EARLY THIS YEAR I WOULD SEE DOUG AND GLEN WALKING ON THE SILVER COMET TRAIL. ON ONE OCCASION WE TALKED ABOUT THE PAST. THEY REMINDED ME THAT I DELIVERED VALERIE. I TOLD THEM THAT I REMEMBERED DOING A TONSILLECTOMY AND ADENOIDECTOMY ON ONE OF THE GIRLS. WE HAD TROUBLE WITH EXCESS BLEEDING OF THE ADENOIDS. WE NEEDED TO GIVE HER A TRANSFUSION. IT WAS AT NIGHT-SHE WAS TYPE-A, AND SO WAS I. I HAD MY LAB TECH TO TAKE A PINT OF BLOOD FROM ME. WE GAVE IT TOO HER. THE BLEEDING SOON STOPPED. I AM SO SORRY THAT I DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO VISIT OR ATTEND THE FUNERAL. MY PRAYERS AND CONDOLENCES GOES O

CAN YOU THINK OF A BETTER PLACE TO DIE? HE WAS SITTING IN HIS USUAL PEW BUT FAILED TO STAND FOR THE OPENING SONG. DR RAY CALLED FOR ME, AND I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN CPR BEING ASSISTED BY RN WIFE AND SOME OTHER MEMBERS. WE WERE ABLE TO KEEP HIM ALIVE UNTIL THE MEDICS ARRIVED. HE EITHER DIED ON HIS WAY TO THE HOSPITAL OR SHORTLY AFTER ARRIVING. I HAVE KNOWN REV BYRD FOR YEARS AS A FRIEND AND DEVOUT CHRISTIAN!!
