  1. Yet another prime example of why we need a line-item veto privilege for the Executive branch. <_>

Not being an a$$, but this is another prime case of what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

When Bush or any past Republican President was in power, the issue of the Line-Item veto was shouted down by the media and treated as if the administration was trying to take over the country. Now that Democrats are in control and when crap like this happens, the media is suddenly all for the Line-Item veto and anybody against the idea must be Nazi's. The doublestandards are blaring, but nobody cares... untill the Republicans are in control again...

  2. Oh boy!!! For those of you who are for the "intelligent design" theory, this is a watershed moment for y'all. If "god" made 'em this way, they're this way for a reason. Whose right is it for any of us to question it??? If it's genetic, it's preordained. If it's biological it's still the "maker's hand" at work. It's pretty outlandish suppose that one "chooses" to be gay just to thumb their nose and "god" and society, many gays have never laid hands on the opposite sex and have always felt the way they have, so it's not really a bi-sexual issue. If you believe it's "the devil" at work, that's just escapism on your part just to get you out of being wrong because you can't be right...

  3. Yes, it is the new way of buying it. People got tired of getting home to find the corn underdeveloped or full of worms so now the stores allow customers to shuck before they purchase. IMO, since stores have starting doing this the quality of corn has greatly increased. This is a good thing.

I've had that happen on quite a few occasions. Nothing makes me madder than getting home with fresh unshucked corn, roasting it in the oven for an hour, getting to the dinnertable, unshucking that delicious smelling corn and finding every single ear eaten up with worms. I now refuse to buy corn unless it's shucked. My relatives give me unshucked corn, but then that stuff is free so it doesn't really matter...

  4. Look how fast that guy jumped and ran from the forklift! I wonder if he was ever seen again...

He almost didn't make it out of there. Did you see him fall and almost get crushed by the falling shelving? His family would have sued the crap out of the company if he'd been killed, even with it being his mistake...

  5. He is a genuine peice of sh*t ... I wish him nothing but pain and misery, along with a long slow, painful death.

We the taxpayers are gonna be paying for him to be somebodys "girlfriend" for the rest of his life. In clearcut cases such as this, the POS needs to be taken to a showerstall and shot in the back of the head. Then the corspe given to science...

  6. I had to clear 3 coffee cups and 2 water glasses off my desk this morning, just from yesterday................spending way too much time here, drinking. :)

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila... floor...

  7. Whether it be facebook or myspace? Ex boyfriend, dated him for 3 months, found me on facebook. He's been out of my life for over 20 years, and wants to get to know me again. CP is fine with it btw. Personally, I think I'm in shock...is it too early for a beer???  :D

Yep, you never know who'll find on things like facebook or classmates. It's good to reconnect in some cases, sometimes not. I tend to be at a disadvantage sometimes. As I work with the public daily, I'm a people person. Very friendly, I have to be as it's part of my job. Well, when I see people I haven't seen in a long time, I use to be very friendly with them. I guess they take it the wrong way and start looking at me like I just got off a spaceship... and I get pissed because I'll I did was say hello. SO now in alot of case when I see someone I have talked to in a while, I let them say hello first.

I've gotten on facebook and found quite a few friends from days long past....
