  1. I thought it was great that thus book gained such interest with the general public. The concepts contained within have been around in esoteric teachings for a very ling time. The Secret just made them accessible to many.

If you enjoyed it, you should check out a neat little book called The Kybalion, a book of hermetic wisdom. Great stuff!

    Who's this book by???

  2. Ok everybody, this is a supposed true story that happened to one of my daughters friends. I'm gettin' this second hand of course, but I know this girl and I'm not surprised...

Just for the sake of conversation, well call my daughters friend Haley...

Okay, while riding down the road Haley notices on her phone a number that she does not recognize. So she send the number a text message to find out who this is. She text "Hi there, who's this?", the anwser comes back "Hi there, who's this?". Haley text back "No really, I want to know who this is?", the anwser comes back "No really, I want to know who this is?". Haley starts to get pissed and text "You're ticking me off, I just want to know who this is?", the anwser comes back "You're ticking me off, I just want to know who this is?". Finally after a great deal of profanity text back and forth, Haley finally says to my daughter "That's it, I'm calling this smarta$$ bi#ch and cussing her out!". Haley calls the number and get's this anwser... "You have no new messages in your voice mailbox."... She'd been texting herself... Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbbbbbb...

  3. Georgia is a 'do not disconnect' state, which means you are still allowed emergency dialing to 911 from your home phone line, even if you are disconnected from a phone company for non payment.

Bottom Line: If you have a phone jack in your house, and a plug-in phone, you can dial to 911 regardless of payment status to any company.

That is only if the drop is still connected to the terminal on the telephone cable in either the pedestal or aerial cable.

You will only have 911 service after a disconnect only if you request it from a local provider, otherwise the phone goes off. Mostly only apartments are left with a 911 service after a disconnect because of the high turnover rates at apartments. Yes I work for the phone company.

Magic Jack, Skype and other VOIP services only work with an exsisting internet connection. If the power goes out, your computer modem goes off and therefore your phone service. This doesn't affect 3G cards or cellphones of course.

I tell all my customers, you do what you need to in order to save money. They have landlines for $19.00 a month now, cablecompany and phonecompany. Even with Magic Jack you're still paying $50.00 a month for Internet in most cases, and if it's like everything else it'll be going up here soon also. I service alot of poorer neighborhoods in Mableton and Austell. They can't afford the internet or in most cases even the cheaper throwaway cellphones ($20.00 for 60 minutes besides the cellphone cost) so $19.00 a month for a landline is a bargan for them.

  4. Let me guess, if you live on a island where all the young people leave because ther are no jobs, and only the old people over the age of 70 are left, do think that the average age might be a little higher and have more 90 year olds then other places?

I have to agree with him TBAR. I met a guy from Crete a few years ago who told me the exact same thing. The young people leave for the mainland because of lack of jobs and the population structure is shifts to an older set. It's a gimmic to get more people to move to these places and bring their money with them...

  5. Who do you recommend To trim the nails of a 80 lb. Lab?

    TIA B)

    Woodchipper.jpg

Woodchipper will trim those doggie nails down to managable micro peices (along with the other 79.85 pounds of poochie) into a wonderful high protein mulch for your bermuda grass... Entertaining AND functional, woodchipper never fails to disappoint... Now for those annoying hamsters...

  6. I like to call these situ's "Tarzan, Lord of the (insert whatever wild animal here)". It's once again an example of people thinking that they've "conquered" or "co-exsist" with these animals, when in reality they are little more than a food source for the animals. Like most things in nature, you don't kill your food source. But the reality is that now these animals associate humans with food. The mama bear will bring it's cubs and the cubs will associate humans with food. These are the bears that beg for food at state parks or keep returning to good ol' Charlie's house for a meal. When some poeple see "Tarzan" feeding the bears, they now want to fulfil their own "Tarzan" fantasy and start seeking out wanting to be "one" with nature. Now contrary to many documentaries, some bears at one time or another will stalk humans as food, it's in their instincts to do so. When the "Tarzan" fantasy meets Mr. Bear who doesn't associates humans with food but AS FOOD, the outcomes not good, Tarzan get eaten, Mr. Bear gets hunted down and shot.

This is also what happened to the "Grizzly Man". The bears that associated him with food went into hibernation, then he met the bear that considered him AS food, the rest is history...

  7. I have *always* been in favor of a line-item veto, regardless of who was in power.

    Me too...

But the issue always creeps up ONLY when it's something the media and/or Democrats are for or against. When the Democrats hate it, the media scream and wail "Nazi's" and "they're taking over!!!", when it's some thing the Democrats like, the media talks to the public like they're 5 year olds "this is for the good of everybody" and "the only people who won't like it are "the Nazi's"....
