  1. I agree that they are all gone. I have been on the side of the road alot of times and just watch them go on by. A few years back my tire blew out on 278....got the car pulled over and watched as everyone just kept going...not slowing down any either....thankful a police officer stopped and changed the tire. My moms car stopped running on 278 right there at The Ark animal clinic. She had men that was actually cussing her because she didn't have the car out of the road enough. BTW she is a senior citizen with multiple health issues. Thankfully her grand-daughter and her husband came by and saw her. While she was sitting there several police cars went by but didn't offer to stop.

I understand the fear of stopping for someone these days. So, it really doesn't surprise me when no one stops. WE have first proof of what can go wrong. In 1988 my husband was coming home from work when he turned onto 381 to come home. There was a car on the side with the hood up and it was raining. He stopped to ask if they needed help. While he was talking to the person through the passenger window the other man pushed himself him took him to a remote area and beat him to a pulp...took his paycheck..which had been cashed already and left him there. So, yes people can be afraid to stop.

  2. I always have the sign of someone going to pass when I see a shadow of someone standing or walking by. Usually within 3 days we hear of a death in the family. When my grand-pa passed in '74 I dreamed the night before his funeral riding on this dirt road and a tree with the limb hanging completely across the road. The day of the funeral while riding I told mom about my dream. I had never been on that road before. But mom is the predictor in the family.

  3. For a nickle more..she could have gotten red

It looks great - hope he's a GA FAN!

He is very much a Ga fan. His bedroom is also in Ga Bulldogs. Its bright thats for sure! She figured putting the Bulldogs parking only sign over the toilet would make it interesting for none Ga fans....lol

  4. When we decided to expand our this year we bought a pump and filter that don't require cleaning very often. The fish don't mind the green water but I like to be able to see them.

My pond gets worse in the spring and summer. And as your fish are mine don't mind the green but I do also because I love to sit and watch my fish.

  5. Prayers are sent to this child and family. I know first hand how straining it is with a sick child in the hospital. I would insist on taking my child to Egleston's or Scottish Rite. My son at age 5 was at Cobb and after 2 days they sent him to Egleston's. It was the best thing that could have happened.

  6. Where do you get your barley? I used to buy it for my smaller pond at Pike's but they didn't have it last time I was there. I don't mind a little bit of green, it keeps the fish hidden from the hawk, but I don't want it to be REALLY green.

  7. I don't know what happened to this post....

anyway, just put in a larger pond with better filtration and a larger waterfall. How do you guys keep your water from being green?

Yes, I have a pond and it gets green also. Barley bale is the best to keep it clear.

  8. There is a place called Uptown Country in Rockmart. He has 5 gallon paint for I think $20.00 It is mis-colored paint so you kinda have to look and choose. But he has some really pretty colors. He sales the 1 gallons for 2 gallons for $5.00! I had painted my entire inside with paint from him.

  9. We were in Cades Cove a few years back. There was a cub in a tree. I will have to find the pic and post it. My then husband which was very stupid walked directly under the tree to get a "good shot". Well he got the pic and scattered the crowd that was gathered watching the cub. Especially when the cub gave a scream out! I stood out to the side of the crowd and pretended that I did not know him. lol
