I have never heard anyone running for office say that they will privately make deals, And withhold the details from you for a year. I can assure you I would not support that person. BB you are correct I did support David Austin, Tommie Graham and David Barnett in the past elections based on the CAMPAIGN PROMISES to only support a General Aviation Airport. At no time did these candidates ever state publicly anything differently, And to this date none of the three have publicly stated why they changed their minds and probably never will. Nothing has changed at the airport that would require our elected and appointed leaders to secretly negotiate and secretly keep all the citizens in the dark on these negotiations for a year after the negotiations were completed.

Mr. Thompson as well as every elected official in this county was well aware at this point in time that it was going to be very difficult to even sell a general aviation airport and by no means would a commercial airport be allowed in the county. Very well said, you really touched on some valid points. I have lost some folks that I considered my friends, Some people that I really trusted and some people that I stood up by and respected not just for the position they were able to attain in this community, But also for the positions that they took in the campaigns that got them there.
