  1. Pubby, how long will they give them to get their things? Maybe a day or two?
  2. $605 Raised by 15 people in 50 mins Be sure to post it to your FB, you just never know.
  3. I wish you could. Melissa could probably help with that info, when she gets out. I'm just wondering out loud, but will they give them a day or two to get their things out? I mean, they have so much stuff, just like we all do. It would take two days to move out of my house.
  4. $455 of $5,000 Raised by 10 people in 36 mins
  5. Thank you. This is so incredibly sad. I could not imagine my stuff being thrown out in the yard and poor Melissa is in jail and can't do a thing!
  6. Is this the same link that Satelite posted? Thanks for starting a new one just to donate.
  7. What if you posted this link in a new topic so folks wouldn't have to search for it in this topic, because it's going to turn into many pages. Just a thought.
  8. Done, thanks for the link!! Come on peeps, step up for these folks that are losing their lifetime home and belongings. I shared on FB What about the grandbaby at school?
  9. I was afraid it would be Monday before bond was set, I didn't even think of the holiday Monday. Somebody PLEASE help get her out!! She can't stay in there until Tuesday. This is ridiculous, I don't care what she said or did. It's immoral! Nevermind, I see where bond has been set.
  10. This is so sad. I hope someone can help them. How can they throw they're stuff out????? Can't someone intervene? Let us know when you find out what the bond is, we could all pitch in to get her out. Bless her heart, prayers while she's in this difficult situation.
  11. Maybe I didn't make that clear. I'm not talking about arresting the addicts. That's useless, although it does make money for the county. I'm talking about making drugs legal and using the wasted money on the "War on Drugs" to build rehabs for those that want it.
  12. Exactly. People are going to use drugs. Might as well make it profitable for the government by making them legal and taxing them. Like I said, I would like to see some free rehabs for the addicts if they chose to go that way. Jail and probation is nothing more than a revolving door for addicts. Oxycotin, Oxycodone and herion will continue to cause deaths. Meth will be a total drain on our system: right now with trying to take care of all of the children of these meth addicts. It will cost in years to come trying to take care of their deteriorated health due to meth addiction, thro
  13. I wonder if Bush knows that everything is his fault?
  14. I think this is the problem.............they really don't know.
  15. US urges action to keep Ebola from becoming 'next AIDS' . AFP By Kerry Sheridan 5 hours ago Washington (AFP) - A top US health official urged swift action Thursday to prevent the deadly Ebola virus from becoming the next AIDS epidemic, as the health of an infected Spanish nurse deteriorated. The United Nations chief meanwhile called for a 20-fold increase in the world's response to the spread of Ebola, which has killed nearly 3,900 people in West Africa since the beginning of the year. Ebola's spillover into the United States and Europe has raised fears of a wider outbreak, an
  16. The war on drugs is a major failure. There are "pain" clinics on every corner. Oxycotin is for sale at a premium price and once that price is out of reach, heroin is the next cheapest alternative. Heroin deaths are on the rise. Jail is a revolving door for addicts. Our county/state/country is full of drug addicts with hundreds of thousands of children left in the aftermath either with addicted parents, relatives or foster care. This is our future. If anything, I think the money should be spent on rehabilitation for anyone that wants it. Rehabilitation is out of reach for most
  17. I'm sure this one will become the next epidemic. This one is from Africa as well. I've always said the deadliest viruses come from Asia or Africa. First Ebola, Now Marburg. How Do We Stop Future Outbreaks? Ryan Wallace ‎Oct‎ ‎09‎, ‎2014 Marburg, a virus similar to Ebola, has hit the radar in the African country of Uganda, raising concerns about another deadly outbreak. With two lethal viruses threatening public health, many are questioning why these contagions seem to be flaring up more often — and more important, what we can do to avoid them in the future. The curr
  18. Feds issue rules for burying Ebola patients in the U.S. Liberian native Thomas Eric Duncan dies from Ebola virus in Dallas; health officials face new challenge in handling body that could stay contagious for days . Jason Sickles, Yahoo By Jason Sickles, Yahoo 1 hour ago Yahoo News DALLAS – The first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States died from the disease Wednesday and now Dallas health officials are facing a situation they have not before experienced: how to handle a body that could remain highly contagious for several days. Thomas Eric Duncan, 42,
  19. Bless her heart...........many prayers for you Laurie for quick healing.
  20. He knew this much: His neighbors in Monrovia told reporters that five days before his flight, Duncan helped a pregnant woman get to the hospital in a taxi. She was convulsing and vomiting. The woman died at home hours later, after being turned away from a crowded Ebola treatment ward. It is unclear if Duncan knew the woman had Ebola, but Liberian government officials said they plan to prosecute him for lying on health forms he completed at the airport on Sept. 19. Duncan answered “no” to questions about whether he had cared for an Ebola patient or touched the body of someone who
  21. Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan dies at Dallas hospital . Jason Sickles, Yahoo By Jason Sickles, Yahoo 26 minutes ago Yahoo News DALLAS — The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States died early Wednesday, officials with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital announced. "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Thomas Eric Duncan this morning at 7:51 a.m.," the hospital said in a written statement.
