WHITEY...In this we agree 100%...I have looked into several of the other film projects in other GA counties and unless I missed it...NONE of them are owned by the counties they are all private ventures (they did receive heavy tax incentives so I guess in an indirect way that is county involvement but that is it)...

This has NOTHING to do with public school vs Home schooling...My comment was in regards to bringing your kids to the airport meeting...NOTHING ELSE...DO NOT try to turn my comments...I am running for NOTHING, have NO CONNECTION to any of the decision makers, BUT can post my PERSONAL opinions! This is serious business and many of you are trying to make a CIRCUS ATMOSPHERE out of it....Frankly the kids DON'T need to attend these meetings...they can be a bit disruptive!

I GUARANTEE you will see these parents parading their kids up and down the road, waving signs on street corners, etc. stating how BAD the airport is for PAULDING and these kids HAVE NO IDEA about this other than their parents said "go stand on the corner and look cute...WAVE THE SIGN!!!" Well if you are only going to do business with businesses that support your group and the STOP PROGRESS & GROWTH in PAULDING lawsuit group then you are going to be doing lots of shopping OUT OF COUNTY as the business community understands the need for the airport. You know you have STRUCK A NERVE and they can't generate a concise thought when they resort to calling you names! These are the folks who do nothing more than shout over each other at their 'Town Hall" style meetings. This is WHY our county officials will not take the time to meet with them. But we all knew this all along...THANK YOU for showing your true colors! It's also SO funny how they resort to changing my post and then re-posting them!!!

First I didn't say NO ONE wasn't there before the original Airport property was purchased back in the 70's, I moved to Paulding in the mid 80's. I referenced the homes in the cul-de-sac that are indirectly near the runway! I also said that of course a few folks would be affected as were the ones in the other projects I mentioned...I was at several of the meetings about the bypass and saw how hard everyone worked to minimize any damages to homes or property. I DO NOT have an answer you will like but instead of digging your feet in the best solution is to work out the best possible solution...

You can't just send folks to the polls uninformed on the real issues, and the group of 5 or 6 opposing the airport have already shot down a VERY fair offer of moderated debates by one of the posters on here. Paulding historically has low voter turnout and that is another issue...people HAVE to realize how important this Airport is to the future of Paulding County! I suggested a mailer and was shot down, this other poster offered his time (Steven? I am assuming it is a guy) but was promptly shot down so I don't really know where things go next.

The Paulding Airport WILL be by it's nature "limited", by that I mean simply in the number of flights...To even begin to think it's going to open its door and MILLIONS of folks are going to come out of the wood work to use the facility is fantasy! It is NOT going to happen! It should draw nicely for what it will offer from not only Paulding but Polk and perhaps a bit of West Cobb traffic but beyond that...NO! OK, so many KEEP bring up the FILM Studio...Just look what is going up in Gwinnett... Jacoby Development plans to begin work in April to convert the under-used OFS site in Norcross to the Atlanta Media Campus, with plans for seven sound stages and the largest movie studio lot in Georgia. It is located along Interstate 85 at Jimmy Carter Boulevard. WHY can the Paulding Studio NOT get some of this business?
