Port workers union holds US economy hostage

And as long as we can hold on to the notion that corporations always have the best interest of their workers at heart, that they will always pay them in line with corporate profits that corporate greed is just a myth we can rest comfortably knowing that wages will remain as stagnant as they have for the last twenty years. -
It's looking bad for Brian Williams, when this is all said and done he may be forced to just slow jamming the news with Jimmy Fallon.

The Final Battle In The War Against Unions Is Underway This is not a new war – the battle against private sector unions has been waged successfully for years as the density of unionization in America has been in steady decline since 1955 when the provisions of the union busting, Taft-Hartley Act (passed in 1947) took root. To get some sense of just how successful the effort to destroy the union movement in the private sector has been, check out this statistic - According to Harvard University expert Elaine Bernard, in 1973, one in every four private sector workers in this country was -
Muslims are religious in fact they are very religious, to the point of dropping to their knees five times a day. Has it helped them do the "right" thing, given them hope and happiness ? Maybe if you're into beheadings, public stonings and your occasional lashings. Give me that old time religion.... I was watching a TV evangelist once who said if you sent him a hundred dollars god would reward you ten fold. I called him on a dare and made up the story that my rent was due, the utilities were due and the cupboards were bare. I said Preacher all I have left is a hundred dollars are you sure

A loaf of bread and a gallon of milk will never cost more than people are willing to pay for it. Regardless of what the Butcher the Baker or the candlestick maker is paid. -

Here's the impression I get from the right here. It's ok to work a human being like a pack animal and pay him in chicken feed as long as it makes the people in the front office rich. Things that make me go Hmmmm. -

The funny thing is even at those high salaries the port authority manages to thrive and you have to wonder what those longshoremen would be making without the unions. Makes you wonder what a lot of companies could afford to pay their employees if they had to face a workers union at a bargaining table. -

Maybe you should consider joining a union, collective bargaining is a powerful tool. -
I think there's a difference between opposing a mans politics and slandering his character .

All I can say is it takes a special kind of person to denigrate a man's character that did his duty, fought for his country and came back from a war missing an arm and 2 legs. A man that instead of feeling sorry himself went on to serve in the congress of the United States. Yea pal you are some kind of special.

I have watched about 3 minutes of this. They were standing on one side of a chain link fence stabbing what looked like homeless people on the other side with a metal rod. The homeless people didn't seem to mind because they just stood there patiently waiting their turn. I thought to myself, my god just look at what have I been missing all this time, and then switched channels.
