  4. It would probably be best if we reserved higher education for the wealthy and well connected. No sense wasting it on the poor unwashed. And who better to enlighten us on this problem than filthy rich bankers.

"According to Jack Nelson, Washington bureau chief of the Los Angeles Times, many journalists were skeptical: "This is a story that's been knocked down and discredited so many times, I was shocked to see it in the [Wall Street] Journal today.... Lawmakers call for major changes to new fireworks law ATLANTA- Georgia's new fireworks law is less than a week old but after several neighborhoods Fourth of July celebrations, some lawmakers are calling for major changes. “If they’re going to allow them to shoot it, at least put a time frame, a respectable time frame, at least (until) 10 o’clock,” Middlebrooks said. “I can’t drive up and down the street with my radio blaring at 10 o’clock in the evening but I can go outside and launch a few explosives and wake everybody up,” he said. “These aren’t the little innocent firecrackers.
  10. These cops are still on the streets, I can only assume from their comments and glee at killing this woman they are eagerly awaiting their next kill.
  11. 2 Investigates: New questions about handling of GA police shooting GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — When Caroline Small graduated from Glynn County's drug court program in 2005, she finally had hope. But five years later it would be a very different kind of escape during a mental health lapse that would cost her her life. Caroline Small had been sitting in her car in a hotel parking lot when an officer approached and thought she was using drugs. She wasn't, but she took off anyway. The low-speed chase lasted more than 15 minutes, stop sticks flattened her tires, and a state trooper finally got her s
  12. These days with everyone packing heat what would have been a fist fight in the past is now reduced to a shoot out.

  14. An interesting article, a bit lengthy but worth the read. It’s Time to Legalize Drugs: An Open Letter to Congress and the President It’s not only that we can’t win this war, it’s that we’re destroying ourselves fighting it. We are literally addicted to the War on Drugs. A half-century of failed policy, $1 trillion, and 45 million arrests has not reduced daily drug use—at all. The U.S. still leads the world in illegal drug consumption, drugs are cheaper, more available, and more potent than ever before. Our justice system is a junkie, demanding its daily fix of arrests, seizures and c

  16. Well this is the same court that said corporations are people and money is speech. So you pick's your number and you spin's the wheel. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
  17. Fine, just keep their little rug rats off my lawn.
  18. I wouldn't have a problem with it but if they are going to live next door to me their has to be a limit on how many kids they have...and dogs...and cats.

  20. The Palins make PT Barnum look like a saint. Bristol Palin took home $262,500 in 2009 for advocating against teen pregnancy, tax documents show. Apparently abstinence can be very lucrative. The big bucks came from the Candie's Foundation, a group aimed at shaping "the way youth in America think about teen pregnancy and parenthood." http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/gossip/2011/04/bristol-palin-abstinence-earnings.html
