  1. Courage comes in a lot of shapes and sizes not all of them on a battlefield. On June 20, 1967, Ali was convicted of draft evasion, sentenced to five years in prison, fined $10,000 and banned from boxing for three years Clay v. United States, 403 U.S. 698 (1971), was Muhammad Ali's[1] appeal of his conviction in 1967 for refusing to report for induction into the United States military forces during the Vietnam War. His local draft board had rejected his application for conscientious objector classification. In a unanimous 8-0 ruling (Thurgood Marshall recused himself due to his previous
  2. I have been hearing a lot about his stand as a conscientious objector and the first thing that comes to mind is a story he told just after he came back from representing the United States in the Olympics and winning the gold medal. He had walked into a dinner in his home town of Louisville, Kentucky and ordered a hotdog. He said the waitress leaned over the counter and said 'I'm sorry but we don't serve negroes here'. I imagine something like that can just drain the patriotism right out of you wouldn't you say ? At any rate he stood by his convictions and payed a heavy price for it. Donald Tru

  4. The end of the world as we know it? CO2 levels to reach a 'tipping point' on 6 June - and Earth may never recover, expert warns 6 June may sound like an insignificant date to many, but it could mark a 'tipping point' in the world's history, an expert has warned. An atmospheric measuring station at Cape Grim in Tasmania is expected to record a carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration of 400 parts per million (ppm) on or around this day - a significant number marking a climate change milestone. 5. Not as much as the voter's and his colleagues in the Senate's opinion of him.
  6. OMG we still have ourselves a 'Birther'. I thought since running that Canadian/Cuban all you people had either gone underground or crawled under a rock.
  7. " Float like a butterfly sting like a bee."
  8. He's a businessman that has spent a lifetime gaming the system, leaving his investors high and dry through bankruptcies and scamming people. Or as some might say the perfect Republican.
  9. Trump's insults are getting old. His latest attack on the ethnicity of the judge presiding over his Trump Univ. lawsuit is just further evidence of it, Rayan saying it surprised him, came out of left field, completely inappropriate. More and more it looks like thin skinned Trump is on the verge of a major meltdown.
  10. I don't think you're paying attention. I never said people are not responsible for their actions on the other hand Pcom does not create an app for teens to record how fast they're going so they can post it on a website and brag to their friends and far as I know Pcom does not cater to pimps and sex traffickers of teenaged girls so perverted old men know where to find them, but if none of that bothers you fine. Someone should however warn Starr & Dru that their poor ole Nana is out to lunch.
  11. I disagree, take 'Backpage', recently in the news, as an example. Another of the hundreds of social media sites that contend they are not responsible for what goes on at their site Backpage.com is a hotbed for sex trafficking and the U.S. Senate gets set to take nearly unprecedented action by holding the site in contempt for facilitating human trafficking, police in Austin say the number of Backpage ads offering illicit hookups—some of which may well involve girls forced to provide sex in exchange for money http://www.fastcompany.com/3057787/sxsw/backpagecom-is-still-a-hotbed-for-pro
  12. Absolutely. But in making this app they are encouraging a group of people that by nature are already making bad decisions. Everyone wants a free internet but I am growing tired of social media sites like Snapchat,Craigslist and Backpage being able to wash their of hands of all responsibility for the products they produce.
  13. Baby Boomers are retiring -10,000 everyday- just because more people are qualifying for the exception does not necessarily mean it's being abused.
  14. Well she is Hispanic and none of them can be trusted, and apparently your man Trump could not agree with you more. " Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump ramped up his attacks on the judge presiding over the Trump University case, once again raising the judge’s Mexican ancestry. Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel had “an absolute conflict” in presiding over civil fraud proceedings against Trump University because he was “of Mexican heritage,” according to a Wall Street Journal report. Gonzalo was born in Indiana to Mexican immigrant parents." https://ww
  15. Georgia teen facing charges of causing a crash while using an app to record the speed of her Mercedes to post on social media. Victim in the car she hit spent weeks in coma and suffered permanent brain damage. Snapchat says not their fault. I love Snapchat's response the 'speed filter' that records the speed of a car should not be used while driving. “She said, ‘Well, I’m just going to hit 100, and then I’m going to slow down,’” one of the passengers, Heather McCarty, told ABC Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV last month. McGee was charged Wednesday with reckless driving, super speeder, dr
  16. I should know better than try to reason with a hysterical woman. You did it with ebola when you were saying all hispanics crossing the border were laden with diseases and going to kill us all. It's no wonder you have fallen for the Trump narrative that all Hispanics are rapist thieves and murderers. Now everyone entering the country are coming just for the benefits . No doubt if your man becomes POTUS we are in for some very tumultuous times .
