  1. Have you tried flushing the DNS cache?

pcom resolves to same IP on both LTE and WiFi so it's not a DNS issue. And traceroutes and pings are successful for both. I bet it's just blocking some IP addresses/ranges. I'll PM Pubby to see if it's blocked.

    Thanks.

  2. Are some IP addresses blocked? Sometimes I get a 403 forbidden error when I try to access pcom on my phone which uses Cricket Wireless. My phone's IP address (216.4.56.x) at the moment is showing as originating from Texas according to whatismyip.com. It's not an issue with cookies or temporary files since if I connect to my home WiFi I can get to pcom fine. If I turn WiFi back off I'm blocked again.

    Thanks.

  3. Some Android devices have been upgrading to Lolypop. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Not in my case. I use a Windows phone with no system or internet browser updates in last week.

Well I guess that button changed a setting and I can't find it to change it back. I don't see the link you are refering too.

Oh well, will figure it out later, have to be up early tomorrow.

Which desktop theme are you using? I'm using the IP Board Master Skin. Maybe the Metropolitan skin doesn't have the link?

I suspect something changed in PCOM as now when using the IP Board Master Theme, the top PCOM logo is gone and is now replaced with the standard IPS Community logo.

  4. That's a start. But, then I have moved the message(s) off the iPhone and into Outlook which means carrying a laptop or tablet or doing things on the desktop. I'd like to have all this on the phone, because I may be 50 miles from my desktop and need to refer to something somebody sent. I spent 30 minutes this am scrolling down thru messages (only ID'd by phone numbers) looking for one particular customer. I'd like to be able to forward the text message to a secondary contact list/folder tree.

If you have your email account setup on your iPhone you could do everything from there and not need Outlook (or whatever webmail system you have hosting email) at all except for perhaps creating the folder structure initially.

  5. On your iPhone, if you get a text from a potential customer and you know their name, you can hit the "edit" button in the top right of the message, select the specific part of the message that you want, and then hit "forward" at the bottom of the screen to email the message. If you were to email the message to your Outlook, you could then organize the messages in Outlook.

That sounds like a good potential solution.

CPTL...we have a pretty big IT department at my company (telecom) but I'm pretty sure most of it is in Denver or overseas...I'll have a look at job postings for the ATL office tomorrow and let you know if anything fits what you're looking for.

    Thanks! I appreciate it! :drinks:

  6. I've decided to change my IT area of focus and become a software developer. My career to this point has been primarily general IT and infrastructure (IT Director/Manager/Lead). I've always enjoyed software development. I've never had a job as a software developer despite incorporating development in every job I've had.

If anyone has any information on any .NET software development positions I would greatly appreciate any leads.

    Thanks!

  7. What's really sad are people who reach over into the plate of a dozen apples, G G, and take 11 of them, then tell you to watch out for your coworkers; they want part of your apple. Welfare is when you are greedy, and take all but one apple, then tell the person with his hand on the last apple to watch out for his coworkers, because they want part of your apple. These people take all the welfare they can get, and if they leave one apple it's because they want Republicans to know they did let something trickle down. Talk about vacations they take thim while everybody else in the corporation is working long hours.

    More class warfare rhetoric...
