  1. How a man makes a milk shake

First you put some ice cream into an industrial strength stainless steel mixing bowl. Then you add some milk.

Chuck a 1" wood bit (spade type) into an 18 volt DeWalt cordless drill and blend to desired consistency. Grunt loudly while mixing.

Pour into a tall glass and enjoy

Belch loudly to express satisfaction with your man's milkshake

I believed you right up to the part where you mention pouring it into a glass.

  2. My grandmother used to make milkshakes for us when we were little ... she always added an egg, which you're really *not* supposed to do, but it made them so rich and yummy.

Always had them like that as a kid. Still do add an egg from time to time.

  3. The Deputies were right...unless they witness the misdemeanor or have independent evidence of a crime there is nothing they can do. It is hard to have probable cause to arrest when there is no evidence but the word of another. The usual course of action is for the person to obtain evidence(photographs or video) and then go directly to the magistrate judge and request a warrant.

And the SO should have advised procedure.

  4. (Why not?)

    (LOL!)

Too much other stuff running on the computer right now ... if I open anything else there may be a rip in time.

Wonder if it is the event and folks trying to get in that's causing the problem ... maybe backing up onto Buchanan.

I don't know what is going on there tonight, but they have alot of weddings and recepitons there...

I think it is something prom-like.

  5. Yes I know you are one of the few pro LE folks on the board. :)

Like I said, I would have probably handled it differently. A he stated in the video while talking to another officer, in his 3 year career he had only been involved in one other failure to yield incident. Response to situations like these come only with experience, it is not something that can be mastered in a few simulated incidents during the academy. He COULD HAVE handled it differently, the driver COULD HAVE waited on the light to change.

And you know my position by now ... of course it would have all gone differently had the driver handled himself differently from the start. But ... and it goes downhill on both sides from there. Inexperience is a dangerous thing in LE but the only way to get past it is to keep doing the job and learning. Hopefully he will learn be able to from this.
