My husband is out there right now killing himself in this heat to provide for our family. (he finally got home at 10:30 last night... turned around and left at 6:00 this morning.) We worked with a professional insurance broker for 4 long weeks to find a reasonably priced option and she told us there were none. Why should we piss way $12,000 per year of our hard earned money for a useless product that we do not need ? ? ? We pay our own way and always have... that will not change. It's not a loophole, it's the law.

I can pay cash for routine visits and minor emergencies. I will simply put my premiums into our savings account. If everything goes well... I will have over $100,000 stashed away in less than 8 years. If something bad happens I will simply wait for the next enrollment period to come around. The good news is that I am exempt from the fine because the premiums exceed 9% of our income.

Nice try sweetheart... we are very healthy and rarely go the doctor. Our only crime is being employed by a small successful business... My premiums have more than doubled since passage of Obamacare...

We are being FORCED under penalty of Federal law to purchase an unusable and totally unnecessary product that we do not need, do not want, and cannot afford ! ! ! My husband works 60 hours per week... this is not a question of underachievement.

BTW : We worked with a dedicated professional insurance broker for four weeks last September, and spent dozens of hours attempting to find a low cost catastrophic option for our family. We came up with exactly zippo after looking at dozens upon dozens of expensive options... We went to the exchanges and there was no help... high cost with no dedicated providers. (She ended up telling us to exempt out, save up our money, and pray.)

Truly, this is not about politics. This is about a bit above average frugal middle class family... suddenly finding themselves unable to afford basic health insurance premiums for the first time in their professional hard working lives. Obamacare is a massive subversive tax increase on the middle class, I am paying thousands for someone else's care and I am done caring...

I am now without health insurance for the first time in my adult life : We can longer afford to keep Me & the Kiddo on Hubby's insurance plan, $255 dollars per week is seriously undermining our family financial health. The ACA destroyed our safety net and we now join the ranks of the uninsured, praying for God's protection and good health as we rely on his almighty grace...

Put up 10 jars of pickles so far... watermelons are almost ready. Beefsteak tomatoes are plentiful but still green... Eating sweet onions in our dinner every night... Cantaloupes are babies ... but coming along.
