One other note... In an unaired part of the interview, I pointed out that the most important difference between what I do and what the television show portrays is that I have a risk of failure. A television show has a cast and a director and writers and everyone already knows who's going to say what and where you will all end up... and if it doesn't work, you can shoot it again. When I perform mentalism at a meeting or in a show, it is not guaranteed to come out the same way every time. I actually did several other experiments with them and spoke with them about some of the same ideas they later got in their interview with Keith Howard... nonverbal cues, reactions under some kind of tension, the fact that "no reaction" is a reaction in itself... they have footage of me saying all of that. But they went down the "criminal profiling" road -- which is what the television series is about -- so it definitely was more relevant coming from a police profiler. I had fun and got another few seconds for my new promo video!

And... the video story pretty much matched the text version. Fifteen minutes seconds of fame!

I have my doubts about this interview. I just read the story posted on cbsatlanta.com -- from a 75-minute interview, they pulled two relatively trivial quotes from me and focused mainly on Keith Howard who does criminal profiling (which is more relevant to the television series). Maybe there will be some good video. We shall see momentarily.

Hope everyone is feeling better! I have no idea how this segment is going to look -- there were no monitors in the room and I could barely stand up on Monday. They had me do the whole segment while seated. Anyway - we're about an hour from seeing some teasers!
