I think there should be a basic test you have to pass before you can vote. Examples: Name your local, state and federal representatives. Name the boundaries of the continental US. List the major wars that the US has fought in, along with the dates, who we fought against and who fought on our side. Name the states that border your state. What year did the US declare independence and from whom. Simple questions like that. If you can't answer these questions, you can't vote.

Over my working life I have had customers say all sorts of ugly and nasty things to me, some to my face and some by phone and a very few by email.
