  2. My youngest, 10, got his first set of golf clubs. He was so excited. I got a set too! So now we can learn together. As of Saturday I felt alot like Happy Gilmore....probably looked like it too! Golfing in 35 degree weather....not sooooo much!!!!
  3. To each his own......religion is what is wrong with the world today....Jesus is not a religion, HE is a friend with whom I choose to have a relationship. So I say Happy Birthday Friend!!!! It was a party for Jesus! Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Kwanza, Dobbie Do Day or whatever! Can't we all just get along???? LOL
  4. I was online last night looking for some ideas myself. If you are in the 35 and over crowd, they have dancing and a reserved table for $15 includes champagne toast at Johnny's Hideaway. The 57th Figther group restaurant and lounge reopened in November on Clairemont and is awesome.. dancing and toast as well. For those who love ethnic food the Imperial Fez has two seatings an early (leave by 8:30) and a late to ring in 2010. The second one is $75 per person includes all your food (which is outstanding) toast, dancing and a professional belly dancing performance. If you have never bee
  5. Why milk and bread? LOL How about some fried chicken and pizza? Tastes great cold!!
  6. The only consolation is that this could be the last time I have to watch our guys be held hostage by Willie Martinez's soft, read and react style of defense. I hate seeing anyone get canned, but win or lose, Richt better make some changes to the staff (Namely Martinez, Jancek, Fabris, and possibly even Bobo) or he could be the one on the brink of getting canned this time next year. Amen to that! My husband would agree with all of the above! He's hoping Bowden retires and Richt will go back home to FSU!
  7. As bad as I hate to say it........we probably will lose!! Mr. Cox will throw his infamous interceptions and we will have a few too many stupid penalties, afterall Kentucky beat us..........Hoping, Waiting and Wishing for a better year in '10!
  8. So glad to hear he is recovering! I know you truly feel blessed. We will continue to keep him in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery! My kids will be so glad to hear this good news!
  9. Thank you! I can't figure out how to PM on the new look. Pardon me......I am having a moment! Any instructions would be great! LOL
  10. My ten year old has expressed an interest in learning to play golf. Our dilema has always been that he goes to Dad's every weekend out of town and can't play team sports due to games being on Saturday. We have searched for something he will be interested in trying. He wants to learn to play golf so we will be getting clubs at N GA Golf in Tallapoosa and now I need to find the resources to teach him and give him opportunities to play golf with kids his age. Any ideas would be great!
  11. I have decided to give a gift that gives back. I read an interesting article in Family Circle this month and it listed various charitable organizations that sell items with all or a percenbtage going into that charity. I am going to buy items that my family members can use and I have chosen to buy from a organization that supports animal shelters. I will put a note inside that says what the gift has done to "pay it forward" for example...this gift provided 14 bowls of food for an animal in a shelter. I think paying it forward is so important in this world! Happy giving and Merry Chris
  12. It was on 61 N just past Mt. Paran??? Rd. The bike was in pieces and the man was lying on the ground not moving. It was around 8:00 this morning that they passed it and it just happened. I am surprised there is no news! Now I am having second thoughts about that Harley we were contemplating! I know you just have to be careful but it's only leather between you and the road or pounds of metal! I hope he is not seriously injured! The kids said he looked as if he was wearing protective clothing and a full helmet.
  13. My children were on their way to NPHS this am and saw the wreck before emergency personnell were on the scene. They were quite shaken up by how serious it was. Prayers went up immediately. Does anyone know how the injured is or can direct me if there is an existing thread?
  14. Lord give me Your voice to speak words of value, adoration, encouragement, compassion, and true kindness.
